(1990)
| Director: |
| | Plot: | A Jewish boy separated from his family in the early days of WWII poses as a German orphan and is taken into the heart of the Nazi world as a 'war hero' and eventually becomes a Hitler Youth. Although improbabilities and happenstance are cornerstones of the film, it is based upon a true story.
"Europa Europa" tells the story of Solomon Perel, a Jewish boy who attempts to survive World War II by posing as a Aryan German. Perel joins the German Army and is eventually accepted into the Hitler Youth. At the end of World War II, he is reunited with his family.
