Amazon.com Following Val Kilmer's portrayal of the caped crusader in Batman Forever, the fourth Batman feature stars George Clooney under the pointy-eared cowl, with Chris O'Donnell returning as Robin the Boy Wonder. This time the dynamic duo is up against the nefarious Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who is bent on turning the world into an iceberg, and the slyly seductive but highly toxic Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman), who wants to eliminate all animal life and turn the Earth into a gigantic greenhouse. Alicia Silverstone lends a hand as Batgirl, and Elle McPherson plays the thankless role of Batman/Bruce Wayne's fiancée. A sensory assault of dazzling colors, senseless action, and lavish sets run amok, this Batman & Robin offers an overdose of eye candy, but it is strictly for devoted Bat-o-philes. --Jeff Shannon

Holy Bat Crap! February 4, 2010 Carlos Donoso Kronfle (Miami, Florida) I don't know what I hate the most: this whole absurdity excuse for a film or the fact that Batman and Robin ran around Gotham City with nipples in their suites. This is by far the worse film ever, and reason to be besides almost destroying the franchise it had a repulsive script that even made young ones upset.
I cannot understand what was going through Joel Schumacher's mind when he was filming this debacle. There are so many things that you can point out from the film that you can even write a book about it and sell it under the joke section. I know he apologized years later for it but it still there's no reason to flip everything around from Tim Burton's first two dark knight movies to this junk. If it wasn't for Christopher Nolan the Bat would have probably never be seen again.
I don't think I can watch this movie over even if they paid me to.
Batman & Robin (Two-Disc Special Edition) January 22, 2010 Arnita D. Brown (USA) The dynamic duo are back but this time they are up against the nefarious Mr. Freeze, who is bent on turning the world into an iceberg, and the slyly seductive but highly toxic Poison Ivy, who wants to eliminate all animal life and turn the Earth into a gigantic greenhouse. And Batman's butler Alfred is dying for a mysterious disease that Freeze's wife has. It's up to Batman, Robin the Boy Wonder and the new heroin Batgirl Alfred's niece to fight all three villains and save Alfred before he dies! But unfortunately Mr. Freeze holds the key to save his life. Great, light entertainment. A fun movie recommended to all.
H O R R I B L E ! ! ! ! ! January 14, 2010 NightStorm (Long Island, NY) This movie sucked.
- The actors sucked at playing their respective parts. Clooney especially.
- The plot horribly sucked!
- The action scenes sucked.
- Everything sucked!
The movie did nothing to honor the legend of the Dark Knight.
The deathknell of the original Batman film series January 12, 2010 Ahmed R. Braimah Batman [George Clooney] and Robin [Chris O Donnel] go up against Mr. Freeze [Arnold Schwarzenegger] who threatens to freeze Gotham and Poison Ivy [Uma Thurman] who threatens to come between Batman and Robin and is armed with a literal kiss of death. WOW, It doesn't get any worse than this! This was a failure in all aspects and remains the worst Batman film of all time. Clooney is so wooden as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Chris is so annoying as Robin/Dick Grayson and Schwarzenegger is so miscast as Mr. Freeze the flaws are almost neverending in this movie. There really is just about nothing to like about this movie [Except for the hot Uma Thurman, But it ain't worth sitting through this mess just to look at her]. By this point, It has become painfully clear that Batman had become a sad parody of himself. I'm surprised Adam West didn't make a cameo in this movie! Joel Schumacher definitely killed the original Batman series with Batman Forever and this disaster. Oh, and another thing, Whoever decided to bring Batgirl into this movie [Played by the beautiful but untalented Alicia Silverstone] should never again be allowed to work on movies. Luckily, some of the filmmakers who've worked closely with this original series along with a crew of some filmmakers who've never before worked on a Batman movie saw the disasters of both this and Batman Forever and decided to begin a new series of Batman films, Resulting in the excellent Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Watch those 2 films to see how Batman should've turned out to be.
Why Joel, Why? January 3, 2010 R. Weismiller (Erie, PA United States) This movie is probably the biggest piece of big-budget, hollywood crap that I can ever recall witnessing. The actors should be ashamed, the writers should never be allowed to write again, the producers should have all lost their jobs. However no one person is more culpable than the director - Joel Schumacher. This film is total garbage.
