Amazon.com Elvis Presley's seventh film was the first of his "Hawaii trilogy" (including Girls! Girls! Girls! and Paradise, Hawaiian Style). While its story is daft--the King has just been released from his Army posting in Italy and returned to the islands, where he's trying to avoid working in his father's fruit business--the music is not: "Blue Hawaii," "Almost Always True," and the beautiful "Can't Help Falling in Love." Angela Lansbury plays Elvis's mother, who can't seem to get through to him. Directed by the star's frequent collaborator, Norman Taurog (G.I. Blues). --Tom Keogh

Sound/picture quality very bad June 8, 2009 Anne M. Houser (Atlanta, GA) I bought this movie for my dad for his birthday. We went to watch it and the picture went from very dark to normal every few mintues. As well the sound was poor quality . In the future I will probably choose to purchase the DVD.
Hawaii May 3, 2009 Gary Master If you like the young Elvis and you love Hawaii you should enjoy it, the quality of the DVD is excellent
Elvis' Blue Hawaii December 1, 2008 G. Brown (Fremont, CA) Fabulous nostalgia! Too bad the Coco Palms Resort was never re-built after Iniki. I had chills walking around at the Resort - Elvis' ghost was everywhere!
Elvis and Hawaii = great movie! January 18, 2008 a reader (NJ) This is one of my favorite Elvis movies. I love everything about it, but my number one favorite thing about this movie is Elvis. He lights up the screen and when he sings "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" I melt. This along with Jailhouse Rock, Viva Las Vegas, and Live a Little Love a Little are 4 great Elvis movies to own.
The must have Elvis movie January 1, 2008 TackTeach (California) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the must have Elvis movie for any Elvis fan. My dad got me hooked on Elvis movies as a kid, and this is the favorite. If you are looking to purchase one for yourself or a friend and just starting a collection, start with this one. It will not disappoint. I actually purchased this copy as an x-mas gift for my cousins daughter (who at the age of 9 is an avid Elvis fan) and within 3 days she was quoting the movie. She absolutely loved it:)
