Makes "Twister" look like fine art November 26, 2007 fast_matt (Dallas, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
No spoilers here - I completely lost interest 2/3 of the way through this movie and don't know or care how it ended. One-dimensional characters would have been an improvement; these were 50's-tech robots responding to punch-card commands. No personality, no motivation, no reason to care. Technical development was similarly non-existent.even tornadoes don't hit 400 mph wind speeds, so it would require at least a little exposition to suspend disbelief. "Twister" may have its plot weaknesses and technical inaccuracies, but at least it's an enjoyable guilty pleasure. "Storm Tracker" isn't worth the trouble it takes to press "Play", let alone buy the disc. Skip it for something else - anything else.
I bought it for a dollar, and really it's not that bad March 31, 2007 John D. Page (usa) OK, sure the movie is VERY CHEESY, but it is fun in my eyes and like I said I only payed a dollar for it so maybe I'm giving this to much lea-way to this silly action/disaster movie. After making a weather machine that causes hurricane Andrew, (Martin Sheen in full blown bad guy mode) wants to try again so he gets Luke Perry(who looks to be picking up a paycheck here) to help him and guess what, now L.A. is about to be wiped out by this thing. Martin Sheen made this movie because his daughter Renee Estevez is in it and as stated Luke picked up a paycheck, so that tells you why they made this one. It's not really that lousy, and if mindless entertainment is what you want, for a dollar you could do worse, but don't pay anymore than that for it.
A disaster film in more ways than one. April 28, 2003 Brett Johnson (Phoenix, AZ - USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
"Storm Tracker" is brought to us by Unified Film Organization. Their self-proclaimed mission is to bring the movie viewing public films which have an emphasis on inexpensive computer special effects. Really. That's all they do.UFO Films gets a couple of familiar faces, in this case Luke Perry and Martin Sheen, to fool everyone into thinking that there might be some quality to their movies. Don't get fooled. Their "special" effects always look very cheap and they seem to throw together a script in a matter of days. "Storm Tracker" is about a silly US government conspiracy to manipulate the weather in order to create vicious hurricanes. Supposedly, Hurricane Andrew many years ago was their doing. Yeah...uh huh. Of course, they don't want to create hurricanes to destroy their own country. That experiment simply got out of control. Their main objective is to send devastating storms toward their enemies to cause maximum damage without risking the lives of soldiers or having to launch missiles or drop bombs. Even at a low price, you will still be wasting your money on this film. You can see nonsense like this any day of the week on free TV.

The whole thing was bad. My wife got up and left. The acting was bad, the premise of the story was unbeliveable. I wish I had not have bought it.

Not bad. it works Not much in the way of frills, but it's cheap! and amusing... The movie is a little less than believeable, but for pure cheese entertainment, you can't beat it....
