Murray Always Good At Being Wacky June 23, 2009 Craig Connell (Lockport, NY USA) I thoroughly enjoyed this movie the first time I saw it, laughing most of the way. By the second look, Bill Murray's deliberately obnoxious-pushy character now started driving me crazy, too. No longer was it just Richard Dreyfuss being tormented. Murray, ("Bob"), is so annoying, so irritating, that you either laugh or want to kill this guy yourself as he hounds his psychiatrist all over the place. Kudos to Dreyfuss to put up with, even if it's just acting. Murray certainly did his job well in this film. He was the perfect actor to play "Bob." In fairness, Murray was so at this sort of thing that he could still be endearing, even when you wanted to strangle him! This is one reason he's been so popular over the years. Highly recommended, but beware "Bob" may drive you nuts, too.
Poor DVD Quality June 4, 2009 Michaela J. Mcgill I love this movie and always have, so I decided to order it used off Amazon. The DVD was fine until the end when the DVD completely went haywire. It stopped working, and basically it's no good since you cannot watch the end of the movie.
Excellent movie May 4, 2009 A. Kendall Hinshaw (NC) This movie puts into perspective for me of how much one person can make a difference in someones life. How being surrounded by others is helpful as well lifting each other up and having fun. Doing other things. Making new friends and at the same time in this movie Bill Murray never loses his comedic sense of humore when he drives Richard Dreyfuss insane with his presence and constant persistence. Hanging out with his family all the time and it drives Richard Dreyfuss batty. This movie is very lighthearted and fun. It's what life to me is about having fun and overcoming whatever is the problem for someone it can be done and then get on with life... having fun in the process. :)
Great movie April 20, 2009 S. Hanson (TX) What About Bob? is a classic comedic performance by Bill Murray. If you like him or Richard Dreyfuss, you will enjoy!
What about parents who let a strange man spend the night in their son's bedroom? March 27, 2009 Max Dembo (Los Angeles) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I know some people will say I'm nitpicking, but I couldn't get it out of my head how the parents let a STRANGE MAN spend the night in their ten year-old son's room. After that scene, everything seemed even more unbelievable. And by the time the climax happened, (Too outrageous-I.M.H.O.) I just wanted it to end. I am a Bill Murray fan, but didn't like this movie very much. I bought it cheap so it's no big deal, but in hindsight I should have just rented it. And I think Richard Dreyfuss is under rated in this. I find him funnier than Bill Murray in this film. His sarcastic comments are wickedly funny. I don't blame him for being annoyed with Murray, who has some good lines but his character is just TOO weird for me to laugh at.
