Amazon.com This Western has become a modest cult favorite since its release in 1993, when the film was met with mixed reviews but the performances of Kurt Russell (as Wyatt Earp) and especially Val Kilmer, for his memorably eccentric performance as the dying gunslinger Doc Holliday, garnered high praise. The movie opens with Wyatt Earp trying to put his violent past behind him, living happily in Tombstone with his brothers and the woman (Dana Delany) who puts his soul at ease. But a murderous gang called the Cowboys has burst on the scene, and Earp can't keep his gun belt off any longer. The plot sounds routine, and in many ways it is, but Western buffs won't mind a bit thanks to a fine cast and some well-handled action on the part of Rambo director George P. Cosmatos, who has yet to make a better film than this. --Jeff Shannon

TOMBSTONE June 29, 2009 Cesar A. Casillas (La Puente CA) This a great action movie, Russell makes a great Wyatt and Kilmer the best Doc H. The movie is not quite accurate as the real story, but is still one of the best western action movies I have ever seen!
movies June 18, 2009 J. Leonard (Virginia) Movie is in great condition and it arrived very quickly. Great place to buy from.
Western Movies May 30, 2009 Terry Koch (Illinois) I grew up watching Western Movies in my local theater back in the '50's, watched a few bad ones in the '60's. I will say that 'TOMBSTONE', could be one of the best Westerns ever made. I Have watched this film 10 or more times. From 'Kates' Yugoslavian accent, ( she was from Budapest), in Holliday's time. The Samurai like dual between Doc, and Johnny Ringo. ( Doc immediately holsters his gun,( sword), after drilling Ringo between the eyes. His gun was out of the holster a total of 2 seconds. The movie slows down a bit, when Doc and company pursue The Cowboys. And, the coward; Ike Clanton, doesn't get his just desserts. The ending is great, when Doc, and Dana Delaney, state that they will now rely on "room service"
Tombstone May 27, 2009 F. Bazemore (southeast) Best Western ever! Val Kilmer (Doc), in my opinion, is the star and gives an oscar winning performance! A keeper in my collection of Clint Eastwood westerns!
