:) Love this movie July 24, 2009 M. Hubble (NH, USA) Its a great movie; I'm not one for "chick flicks" but this adds a perfect dosage of humor and reality to not be too "mushy gushy, lovey dovey" yet its still a happy heart warmer.
I cheese sandwich this movie April 30, 2009 Heather Neruda (Atlanta, GA) This is one of the best movies I have seen in a while. I love the two actors, Jon Favreau and Famke Janssen. There is definite chemistry between them and the humor is priceless. "I love you horseface."
Good Movie February 25, 2009 krisg What an amusing, good "little" movie. Proves sometimes the 'little" movies are sooo much better than the "Big" ones!!
Funny, Charming Janssen/Favreau Film February 1, 2009 Terence Allen (Atlanta, GA USA) "Love & Sex" is an extremely amusing, well-written romantic comedy about two quirky people and their attempts to be lovers, friends, and a lot more. Famke Janssen is charming and engaging as Kate, who has been given a deadline by her magazine editor boss to write an article about finding true love and romance. The story causes Kate to reminisce (hilariously) about her previous relationsips, especially the one with painter Adam, played by Jon Favreau. The two are quirky, crazy, and just plain weird in a number of ways, but seem totally right for each other. But staleness creeps into their relationship after a year. Will they be able to overcome it and give love a second chance?
Favreau has proven in films like Swingers that he can rule in romantic comedies, but Janssen gets her first real shot to prove that she can do a lot more than play the wife, ex-wife, or girlfriend in the background. Both are witty and endearingly strange, just like people in real life, and they make it easy to root for their happiness.
Really great film!! November 9, 2008 Marilyn Morrow (Texas) I ran across this movie on the Independent Film Channel one night when surfing through channels, and loved it. Very fresh and funny! The characters are believable and real, the plot feasible, & it was fun to watch. I think I'm going to buy this one!
