 Gave Up Waiting for this movie on DVD Ordered from Ebay. June 21, 2009

Really been searching for a decent copy of this movie for years. No one knows why the movie companies don't release it in DVD and widescreen too. Something about not having been filmed right for widescreen. So just release it in any format is better than none. Maybe there are issues about who really owns the rights to this movie or who ever does might not want to share the profits with past actors, cast and crew..it's hard to know why someone doesn't want to make money in todays market. But you can purchase it probably bootleg from several places just have to google the title. I'm heading to ebay for under 15 you can get a version out of the country that plays on USA region equipment. I've read it's not the greatest copy but I've given up on Amazon ever bringing this movie. If someday it happens....I might want to update my bootleg version then. So that's all folks...off to the movies and oldies are the best goodies.

Just to help keep the drive alive concerning getting a high quality, wide screen version of this on DVD; It is one of the best modern era attempts at making a good, old fashion 1930s or 40s style adventure movie to date.
As with most of Selleck's action/western type movies, this one has the proper atmosphere, more than adequate period detail and appropriate feel to make it enjoyable to watch. The entire cast works well together, the story is solid, has some great flying sequences and it is well made in general.
The other really good thing, is you can tell the actors and all crew really enjoyed and were into making this movie. It has a good vibe. That is not always present in even many big budget movies.
I would highly recommend this move to anybody who likes retro style adventure flicks, action movies or just some good, classic style, quality entertainment. If you will pardon the cliche, High Road to China definitely has "it".

Item promised by Dec. 15, 2008 now Dec. 27th and still no VHS. Attempted contact twice with no response. Contacted credit card company to dispute the payment for NO item. Not a satisfied or happy customer.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies! An enthralling adventure movie with lots of drama and romance, and not one smutty scene in it! Just a great plot that keeps your riveted to your seat all the way through! When is this wonderful movie going to be delivered to the public on DVD? I've been looking for it for several years and can't believe it's not available!

"High Road to China" is a classic. It had a great cast and good directing. The movie had action, adventure, comedy, danger, romance, and history. Tom Selleck is at his best. Bess Armstrong gives a stellar performance; as do Jack Weston, Wilford Brimley, et al. As with his movies, T.S's presence on the silver screen, doesn't overpower the other actors/actresses. It is a crime against good films not to view it, let alone not to own it !
