Amazon.com After Desperately Seeking Susan, Madonna was proclaimed a promising screen presence, but the one-two punch of Shanghai Surprise and Who's That Girl put a dent in her ascent. Directed by James Foley, who worked with Sean Penn in At Close Range (and shot the video for "Papa Don't Preach"), it's an aggressively 1980s gloss on the screwball comedies of the 1930s. Jonathan Demme pulled off the gambit in Something Wild, but lightning did not strike twice. As the proceedings begin, platinum blonde bubblehead Nikki Finn (Madonna in Judy Holliday-gone-punk mode) has just been released from prison for a crime she didn't commit. Loudon Trott (Griffin Dunne, After Hours), a fastidious tax attorney, is assigned by future father-in-law Mr. Worthington to make sure she gets on the bus to Philly. (Turns out Worthington was involved with Nikki's bid in the pokey.) Loudon is also charged with delivering a rare cougar to eccentric superior Montgomery Bell (Sir John Mills)--on the day before his nuptials. In short order, the cat escapes and Nikki drags Loudon away from his wedding preparations to clear her name. Along the way, these two diametrically opposed entities fall improbably in love. The movie may have bombed, but the soundtrack, featuring four Madonna tracks, was a hit. Co-written by Ken Finkleman (The Newsroom) and lensed by Jan DeBont (Speed), Who's That Girl is manna for Madonna-philes. All others are advised to proceed with caution--or head straight for Howard Hawks' timeless Bringing Up Baby instead. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

Who's That Girl January 23, 2010 Lugznut Movie is obviously not for everyone.
Griffin Dunne was great in his role. He had some great interactions with the character Nikki Finn.
cute but not that great September 8, 2009 Lucy (Florida) this movie was not really her best but she looked really cute and gorgeous. the plot was ridiculous....ridiculously funny. the way she walked and her accent was really funny. lol, it kinda looked retarded. i find it pretty interesting that in one scene she goes back to her normal voice all of a sudden. i do enjoy the scene where she falls in love with the guy. even though, she seems funny her acting skills wasn't that impressive. it somehow felt kinda fake and rehearsed. however, i love the songs she did for the movie. "the look of love", "can't stop", "causing a commotion", and of course "who's that girl".
Long wait August 27, 2009 C. Colon I waited almost three weeks then contacted company on the status of the order. They stated it was mailed to the incorrect address but would be resent. I am not sure how true that was since I had checked the status on the order before contacting them and there was no info of the movie ever being shipped.
Couldn't put music onto my laptop April 27, 2009 L. Spanakos (Stamford, CT United States) I'm not sure why but I wasn't able to put this cd into my iTunes. What I ended up doing was ripping it using Windows Media Player, burning a 2nd cd and then using that to put the music onto iTunes. I had to buy the whole cd just for 2 songs but I really enjoy the songs so it was worth it for me. The rest of the cd is so so.
Vintage Madonna. October 2, 2008 ADRIENNE MILLER (TENNESSEE) Who's That Girl is the ultimate Madonna soundtrack. There are 4 original songs that Madonna sings which include: Who's That Girl, Can't Stop, Causing a Commotion, and The Look of Love. The last song I have mentioned is Madonna's most beautiful ballad of the '80s, too bad it was never released as a single. I highly recommend this fabulous purchase if you are a huge Madonna fan like myself. Enjoy!
