Amazon.com In Little Nicky, Adam Sandler plays the sweetest of three sons of Satan (Harvey Keitel), who's got to go to Earth and retrieve his nasty, power-hungry brothers lest they take over Hell and make it a thoroughly evil place. As with Sandler's other films, this weird premise (based oh-so-loosely on King Lear) is just an excuse to trot out a hodgepodge of comic bits and cameo performances. Admittedly, a lot of the jokes don't work (there was no need to repeat the one about shoving a pineapple up Hitler's ass), but the ones that do tend to be more memorable than the ones that don't, making for a pretty funny movie, when all is said and done. Sure, it's hard to overcome Sandler's speech impediment du jour, not to mention that romantic subplot with Patricia Arquette, but it can be done by focusing on the brilliant cameos by Regis Philbin, Reese Witherspoon, Ozzy Osbourne, and Henry Winkler (especially when he's covered with bees), as well as one of the funniest uses of a scene from De Palma's Scarface in years. Supporting Sandler throughout are two very funny heavy metal disciples and a bulldog named Beefy (voiced by Robert Smigel, the man behind Triumph the Insult Comic Dog). And, in an almost unrecognizable cameo, that's Clint Howard as the cross-dressing fetishist named "Nipples." --Andy Spletzer

Extremely HELLarious!!! February 19, 2009 PUMPKIN MAN This is a very funny movie that stars Adam Sandler as Satan's youngest son, who isn't as evil as his dad or brothers! When Satan announces that he is going to retire, his other sons Adrian and Cassius want the job, but Nicky wants his dad to continue to rule Hell, and he does. Adrian and Cassius are furious and leave to turn Earth into the new Hell. If they don't return at the same time within a week, Satan will die. Nicky offers to help by going to Earth and stopping his brothers. He makes friends with a talking dog named Mr. Beefy, two friendly satanists, and a has-been actor. He also meets a beautiful woman named Valerie, who he falls in love with. Can Nicky stop his brothers, save his dad, and get the girl? If you love Adam Sandler's movies, you'll love LITTLE NICKY!!!

People, it's just a movie! January 9, 2009 K. F. P. Culotta (Apple's Backyard) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a fan of Adam, and I have enjoyed better films comming from him. Yet this one brings me "the momories" and I would really watch it completly if it showed on tv for free. "Or you decide on giving it to me". Critics and reviewers are writting down how this movie had gotten in between their teeths and never got the pleasure of not having to try it in the first place. This unwise plot made it as a movie to entertain and steal you a smile or laugh. It was made for you to do something much more productive while you where listening to it and yet taking back your eyes to it on occational and likeable segments. I like it because my wife and I are fans od Adam. We love it because this was one of the first comedies we saw together on our first years of "unshamed puffy loving". And because on the blu ray version of this film, we would prefer to see W. Bush take the pinnapple instead of Hitler. Not that Hitler wouldn't be unhappy to share it with Geo! I know Happy Gilmore would enjoy playing golf with his head or B@!!$. "Release the Good, Release the Awesome!",
ADAM SANDLER as the DEVILS SON!! May 24, 2008 MARCOLA (DALLAS, Tx) This a good comedy from ADAM SANDLER in the tradition of "BIG DADDY", "HAPPY GILMORE" & "MR.DEEDS". SANDLER has become a household name, one of the biggest comdey actors in the 21st century. He keep on belting them out by the year. I rate this movie a 8 from 1to10!!
good for a laugh April 28, 2008 JohnA37 (Brisbane, Australia) Adam Sandler is the son of the Devil sent to New York to stop his older brothers from creating Hell on Earth. Very funny and plenty of laughs. Worthwhile just to see Henry Winkler (the Fonze) get attacked by bees :)
