Don't expect this movie to be a shark attack movie. It's a bad attempt at some sort of action movie about some guy who blackmails some businessman who sends some gangsters to kill the blackmailer and get a CD from him. When the blackmailer goes to Mexico to visit his brother, he also becomes a target of the gangsters. Add two or three scenes involving a shark and you have "Night of the Sharks". The script is bad. The characters are dull and the story moves slowly and seems to go on forever. You're glad once it's over.

Don't waste your time and money on this movie.

How can they call this Night of the Sharks, when there are only two shark attacks throughout the entire film, and neither of them takes place at night? Now don't get me wrong, I've been able to sit through AND enjoy Shark Attack 1, 2, and 3, as well as both of the fantastic Crocodile movies. But this... ...this film can't even decide what genre of movies to fit into. At first it seems like this is going to be a horror movie. Then it seems like an action flick, then a mystery, and all of a sudden it seems like bad Miami Vice rip off. TERRIBLE.

Yes, Treat Williams is solely a B-Movie star, and his acting in Substitute 2: School's out, Substitute 3: Failure is not an Option, and Substitute 4: Winner Take All, were purely Grade A material, but this was just a monstrosity. The plot makes no sense, but I guess I'll give it a try:

This atrocity of a film starts off with Treat Williams and "Paco"(the most annoying character in film history) in a powerboat going after Cyclops, the shark that actually has two eyes. (Way to go film editors.) Then all of a sudden it flips to a bar scene where 50 Mexicans (who appear to be Haitian) start fighting for no reason. But then Treat Williams offers free Cervesa and Tequila to all the fighting guys. They appear to get all liquored up on Treat's $100. (I know the Mexican (Haitian) exchange rate isn't the greatest but come on $100 to get 50 dudes sloshed?) Then comes a twist that I don't think even the writers of this filth expected or understood. Treat's brother steals diamonds and a disk (which never gets explained.) The rest of the movie is about "the bad guys" trying to get the so-called disk back. Remember there are no sharks throughout the rest of this plot. Along the way you also get introduced to a priest and a lady that never get their characters developed. However, they are two of the main characters. Come to think of it you never even get their names.

So to sum it up this is the worst movie I have ever seen, and I've seen The Chronicles of Ridick!
