Jane Seymour is very much in her Victorian-lace Somewhere in Time mood here, although the action is set in the present day. She and her husband (Gerald McRaney as an ex-football stud, now impotent would-be sportscaster) move into a modern house overlooking a bay, but the new place is troubled by strange sounds and cold breezes. "Do you believe in ghosts?", she asks pal Millie Perkins, but Jane isn't complaining. Soon our overheated heroine is buying old frocks and taking long showers in the company of her ghostly lover, who provides her with considerably more physical attention than her husband can. Director John Korty, a TV-movie veteran, guides the low-key spookiness with a steady hand, although the final act slips into out-and-out romance-novel silliness. Mainly it's a vehicle for Jane Seymour, whose heart-shaped face and impossibly flowing hair are utilized for maximum romantic effect. --Robert Horton

This T.V. movie was very atmospheric and trippy to watch.. Definitely made with an eye for the unusual.. All the elements, including Jane Seymour's stunning beauty and acting, the spacey music by Paul Chihara, the attention to detail in Hiro Narita's amazing visuals and ability to capture shadows and light to great and unsettling effect, Michael Berk and Douglas Schwartz's perfect mixture of romance and ghost story in the teleplay and John Korty's direction of the whole thing make this one you won't forget.
Check out the references to Japan in the imagery when you would least expect it (probably due to the two Japanese people working on this - you'll know it when you see it) which add even more distinction to this unique project. The only downside is Gerald McRaney's stiff and annoying portrayal of Jane's faded football star husband (as if he could get Jane anyway!!)
This is one to look for if you are into offbeat movies that are best viewed while hallucinating.

Great for anyone who's a Jane Seymour fan and a lover of ghost stories. Jane does her usual great job as the troubled romantic heroine torn between trying to save her marriage to Gerald McRaney's character and this new ghostly and passionate presence in her life. Keep in mind this was made for TV and your expectations for special effects and what not will be kept in check.
