Amazon.com With a November 2001 Las Vegas performance that became an HBO special, Britney Spears headlines a visual spectacle that surpasses even Vegas's stage shows. From the opening "Oops! I Did It Again" to the closing "I'm a Slave 4 U," Spears and her dance troupe athletically romp through a live, life-size, 90-minute music video. There's no musical emphasis (usually the original recordings play while Spears nominally pays attention to what she's supposed to be singing), but that's not the point. Soft-spoken offstage, Spears becomes someone else entirely in front of an audience: numerous costume changes, a plethora of filmed footage, awesome acrobatics, and a gigantic stage set create the ultimate triumph of visuals over music. During the encore, "Baby One More Time," rain drenches Spears, giving a born entertainer one final opportunity to leave her fans awestruck. The concert was broadcast live to four military bases, and Spears acknowledges the soldiers' service in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks. --Kevin Filipski

BRITNEY'S BACK B@*%$!!!! May 17, 2009 Hiyasmin Vanvalkenburg (Plattsburgh, NY) Sure Britney has had a couple of bad years but that does not make her a bad person or a bad entertainer, just watch this video and you'll know how hard a worker, entertainer and a person she is. I could tell that she wanted to give a great performance to her audiences and viewers. Britney Spears Live From Las Vegas is an awesome performance and to watch it on an 42" inch flat screen makes me feel like I'm right there standing right next to Elvis who just happened to be in the audience. Elvis Is In The House! I love all the songs she sang, the dancing and her costume changes, but most of all I just love Britney! This video of her performance shows us when she was at her peak as a performer before her life started to spiral out of control. I would recommend this dvd to anyone who love, like or just curious about Britney you will not be disappointed. Great songs, great camera footage, great performance and GREAT BRITNEY SPEARS!
Live from Las Vegas May 15, 2009 Kilee (Florida) First I just want to start out by saying that I got this DVD a day before I was supposed to recive it and in good condition too. Britney Spears: Live From Las Vegas I must say I was to young to attend a Britney concert and my mom would not take me, so I was thrilled when I finally bought this. Britney is just pure amazment and know's how to put on a show. The effects were amazing, the dance routines outstanding and the video clips that they showed were cute. I was surprised how ever to see Jon Voight on the tour but he did a good job. :) The songs preformed are as followed: Oops!... I Did It Again, (You Drive Me) Crazy, Overprotected, Born to Make You Happy/Lucky/Sometimes (Medley), Boys, Stronger, I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman, I Love Rock & Roll, What's It's Like to Be Me, Lonely, Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know, Anticipating, I'm a Slave 4 U, ...Baby One More Time You can tell when Britney lip synchs only due to the dancing, who can dance AND sing at the sametime and sound incontrol of their breathing?, but you can also hear her sing LIVE and trys to sing over the tracking. My favorite's were the Stronger preformance, Lonley Preformance, Oops!... I Did It Again Preformance and Overprotected Preformance. Her outfits are cute and go with each routine. The video clips were cute and a few were funny. If you're a true BritBrit fan, then I would suggest picking this DVD up. It proves that Brit know's how to put on a show. :) Oh and also, in responce to that one review about Britney and Janet Jackson, they are NOTHING a like when they preform so don't let that get to you if you want to buy this. :)
too much props, no singing September 14, 2008 J. E. Meyer (Newark, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I watched this at a friends house. That Britney the lip synched was no surprise. What I didn't expect is that every song was lip synched! It's a shame really. There is a highlight though: The backup band (did they even play before?) is set free during an interlude, and they really funk it up bad! If they did this for an hour and put it on a DVD, I'd buy that.
Entertainment, nothing more June 25, 2008 Cutest Yoyo (Florida, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This concert is simple eye candy for those who just want to be entertained by a young girl in tight outfits performing sexual dance routines that young teens should not be seeing yet their parents are too redundant to practice parental discretion. The entire concert is lipsynched except for 2 performances. "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" is completely live and is sung in Britney's natural tone instead of the tampered, high-pitched tone featured on her albums. It's extremely deep, yet soothingly beautiful. I only wish she would sing like that all the time. "...Baby One More Time" is partially live with some backing vocals. Also, that song should NEVER be sung in ballad form because the lyrics are pure idiocy. This concert gets boring for me since most all of it is just centered around Britney's costume changes and sexuality. I would much rather perfer a display of talent with little or no outfit changes instead. Also, the speech she gives seems dishonest and with false emotion. Everyone who has viewed "Crossroads" knows that Britney can't act nor pull off the 'sweet and innocent' stereotype. It just seems so scripted and follows up with "now, I'm going to sing for you..." in which she doesn't actually do, but lipsynchs to add comical mockery to it all. Overall, it's not really a concert I'd expect from a musical artist. It's just entertainment and something I'd expect to see on an adult version of Broadway. Not recommended.
Present for Nephew June 5, 2008 Fraggie (California) Birthday present for my nephew who has been watching it ever since he got it! I think it was a definite hit!
