Amazon.com An original Neil Simon screenplay makes Seems Like Old Times rise above what would otherwise be a forgettable comedy love triangle. Goldie Hawn (Private Benjamin) plays a good-hearted defense lawyer married to Ira, a politically ambitious district attorney played by Charles Grodin (Midnight Run). The craziness of their everyday lives becomes even more ridiculous when ex-husband Chevy Chase is framed for a bank robbery and seeks refuge with the woman he could never get over. Hawn hides the love of her life under her husband's nose as Chase tries to clear his name. Hawn tries to protect him and Grodin just tries to keep from going insane. A slapstick romance that's very often hit-and-miss, the dialogue saves this comic farce and provides wonderful moments between the three stars. Seems Like Old Times also has going for it winning supporting players and some half a dozen drooling, unruly dogs. --Robert Lane

Very Funny!!! June 9, 2009 PUMPKIN MAN This movie was extremely funny! Chevy Chase is always hilarious at getting into bad situatios, like being forced to rob a bank and becomes a fugitive. Chase stars as a writer named Nick Gardenia, who is the ex husband of Hawn's character, Glenda Gardenia Parks who has re-married a District Attorney named Ira. Nick desperately needs Glenda's help to hide from the police. She reluctantly hides him at her house, and he is always so close to being caught by her new husband. I love when Glenda and Ira are trying to have dinner with the Governor, and Nick poses as a waiter. Will Nick be able to prove his innocence and still get his ex-wife to love him again? I highly recommend SEEMS LIKE OLD TIMES!!!
Highly Overrated January 19, 2009 C. Rocklein I don't always go along with the Amazon review, but in this case it's dead on. With all the 5 star reviews on this listing I was expecting a little bit more. I love Chevy, Goldie and Charles Grodin as well, but this movie is a bit tepid the first good hour and only managed to arouse continued interest towards the last half hour.. I'd say rent it (wishing I had), and if that doesn't sate your appetite for the movie then buy it. Neil Simon has often been hit and miss for me.. the screen play in this one is, as the Amazon review puts it, "forgettable". It's better moments include slapstick farce, the storyline isn't that clever (not to mention beleivable) and it's stars are the main thing holding it up - they do a good job, but there's only so much you can do with a lackluster script. In a nutshell, it's more yawns than laughs. Not awful, but not great either. 3.5 stars.. 4 at most.
A favorite!! November 3, 2008 T. C. Diamond (Central Valley, CA USA) Arrived ahead of schedule and was in Wonderful condition!! This movie is an all-time favorite. Anyone needed a good laugh should rent it and then, buy it like I did to watch over and over again.
Fun Date-night Movie October 16, 2008 D. Bratcher (Texas, USA) I've been looking for this movie for years! This is a FUN, fast-paced romantic comedy for a great date-night movie!
Seems Like Old Times October 15, 2008 J. Farris (Ranco Santa Fe, CA) This is one of my absolute favorite movies. It is hysterical! Great timing by both Goldie and Chevy.
