great movie, doesn't do either of the books justice March 16, 2010 Katie Jandro I admit, I love this movie. However I did watch it BEFORE I had read all the books, so I might be a little bias. Personally I think that if they had taken the time to make this one movie into two, and even attempted to do the Vampire Lestat AND the Queen of the Damned some type of justice this would have totally taken the cake. However they didn't. So I say: If you haven't read any of Anne Rice's books you'll probably like this movie. The movie it self is better than any other "vampire" movie I've seen as of yet. It isn't equal to the books, though, what movie is?
EXCELLENT! January 12, 2010 Alexis Shanel Again, my bloyfriend loves this movie. He loves the quailty, it was brand spankin' new. I also like it, I mean it was at a GREAT price so that's another reason to get it, RIP Aaliyah
Queen of the Damned December 31, 2009 Arnita D. Brown (USA) Lestat has slumbered for two ceturies, but the world above his tomb has changed from the colonial pretension of the 18th century to a more free and colourful world of new more revealing fashions, louder music, caring for the world's future and the hungry machine that is the media. I love this movie. Stuart is hot in this movie. The movie manages to deliver a surreal atmosphere charged with vampire like sensuality. A vampire love story.
DON"T YOU RECOGNISE A CLASSIC CAMP? November 16, 2009 Dupree (Vancouver, WA USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I couldn't stand the rating on this one. Had to set things straight. The title and cover picture can throw you. I didn't want to watch it to begin with until my kid told me about it. But I love "True Blood" too. I read the books long before it went to TV.
If you are on the current bandwagon for Vampires, don't belive what these other ratings say about this movie. Check it out.
