Product Description To earn some money quick, Sean gets a job with his friend at the local car wash and gets more than he bargained for. Genre: Feature Film Urban Comedy Rating: R Release Date: 17-SEP-2002 Media Type: DVD
Amazon.com This casual comedy stars hip-hop maestros Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, who are also all over the movie's soundtrack. Dee Loc (Dogg) works at a car wash but makes more money selling pot on the side. When his roommate Sean (Dre) gets a job as assistant manager at the wash, Sean finds himself caught between his tyrannical boss (the ever-blustery George Wallace) and his friend. But the plot isn't really the point--The Wash is a loose, ambling collection of off-hand jokes, character portraits, and girls in tight clothes, much in the same vein as Friday or I Got the Hook-Up. Cameos include Shaquille O'Neal, Ludacris, Pauly Shore (as a mob victim tied up in a car trunk), and Eminem. Writer-director DJ Pooh also plays a dimwitted kidnapper and has some of the funniest bits. --Bret Fetzer

Hot Garbage January 31, 2010 Butterfly N.A.Beehive (Hollywood,CA) This movie is terrible! My friends and I couldn't finish it. Please don't waste your time or money. The Wash is a huge disappointment. Snoop is trying too hard to be menacing and bad-ass. He's much more entertaining when he makes brief cameos playing himself. The makers of the film should have used him in this way as opposed to making him the lead character.
Funny as hell! January 28, 2009 Kelly A. Massey If you have a sense of humor you will like this movie : ). You have to understand hood dialogue and how ignorant street cats act( just like real life) LOL. Its just a dumb and stupid movie that will make you laugh. If you liked Friday you should like this movie too. If not lighten up and live a little!!!
Classic Movie January 12, 2008 Brandon Duncan (phoenix.az) The Wash is an all time classic hood flick. If your analyzing it too much then your probably not meant to understand it. Paix!
So much potential.... :-( wasted June 13, 2007 Owen M. Wilson (Atlanta, GA USA) I just finished watching this on cable and I was really disappointed. I had high hopes after finding out it was similar to the old Car Wash movie - which I love and highly recommend - and then I saw that Snoop and Dre were in it... then it just wasn't that funny or really even attention holding.
I recommend the Friday Trilogy, Little Man (which was a surprise!), and the OG-triple-OG Car Wash with Richard Pryor for some really funny stuff.
