Amazon.com Pop idol Britney Spears stars in this sweet coming-of-age movie about three childhood friends who've grown apart, but find out they may still have a lot in common. After graduating from high school, Lucy (Spears), Kit (Zoe Saldana), and Mimi (Taryn Manning) decide to take a road trip to L.A. to audition for a record label. Along the way, there's a lot of heartbreak and female bonding (not to mention a lot of midriff-baring--in her first scene, Spears jumps on her bed in her underwear, singing along to a Madonna song), as each of the three girls learns more about herself and life. Crossroads could have been trite schmaltz, but the script has some grit and the direction is fresh and relaxed--and, most significantly, Spears is far more sympathetic and engaging than you might expect. Also featuring Dan Aykroyd and Kim Cattrall. --Bret Fetzer

*Crossroads!* December 9, 2009 Alejandro Juarez (Buenos Aires, Argentina!) I really like this movie. I remember when I went to the cinema for the first time in my life back in 2002 to watch Britney's big screen debut, It was a great experience.
This DVD is very good because is "The Collectors Edition".
Great Movie. Great DVD.
Love U B!

Britney at her best! October 21, 2009 Lindsey E. Woods (South Carolina) This is one of my favorite movies of all times. Britney proves that she can act and isn't a ditsy southerner. She is amazingly talented and I know she'll be around forever.
This loyal fan doesn't like Crossroads. March 25, 2009 L. Young (A place in the world) I'm a loyal fan of Britney's since Baby One More Time, and I do not like this movie. It is boring, cheesy, and talks down to her fans. Far from Mandy Moore's A Walk to Remember, which was worth, well, remembering.
Good Movie August 26, 2008 J. David (Louisiana) I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it was a really cute movie. And as in other reviews I didn't think the acting was that bad. Some people have to realize Britney isn't an actor she is a singer. So you can't compare Britney's acting to some like Kirsten Dunst, or Julia Roberts.
worse than nothing April 22, 2008 Meddlesome Matilda (Missouri) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This movie was a waste of time, energy, and money. It should never have been released. Britney may have played a silly young receptionist on a recent tv episode and appeared to do well but that is also a back to back comparison of insane britney and a step back up for her. I'm glad she's doing better, but let's face it, the girl can't sing worth a damn and she certainly could not act her way out of a paper bag when Crossroads was made. She might do better now in an insipid role like the "Mother" episode. I bought Crossroads from an amazon seller several years ago for 1 cent plus shipping, and it was a waste of the 1 cent and certainly of the shipping. I tried to give it away but nobody would take it so I finally tossed it in the trash.
