The Velveteen Rabbit is a classic children's book and this edition has beautiful artwork. The book is written with some great time-period language and phrases to enrich vocabulary. The artwork is certainly the crowning piece of this edition though - and is heartwarming. A great book to give as a gift or keep for yourself as you await having children or grandchildren to share it with.

The Velveteen Rabbit is a classic, emotion based simple story, that is appropriate to focus a child's attention on age-based attachment. My mother saved my childhood teddybear, and fifty one years later I gave it to my grandchildren, along with a copy of the Velveteen Rabbit, a picture of me, age 6, and a picture now of my 82 year old mother, my bear, and me.
