Amazon.com After being unexpectedly dumped by her dream boyfriend, Lucy (Monica Potter, Along Came a Spider) wants to hide away in her apartment--but her friends set her up with a series of blind dates: a shy entomologist (John Hannah, Sliding Doors), a sensual playwright (Gael Garcia Bernal, Y Tu Mamá También), a hunky doctor (David Boreanaz, Angel), a self-centered baseball player (Anthony LaPaglia, Lantana), and a bickering businessman (Henry Thomas, All the Pretty Horses). We know she ends up marrying one of these five guys; trying to figure out which one, as the dates unfold in flashbacks, makes the movie engaging--up to a point. The script loses focus and Potter, though pretty, is too bland to sustain interest (though it should be said that she shows more flair in I'm with Lucy than in her previous romantic comedy efforts, such as the laughably bad Head Over Heels). --Bret Fetzer

And you say diamonds are a girl's best friend.... April 11, 2008 Butterfly Wings (USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Not always, i prefer amethyst, how ever as a huge David Boreanaz fan i must say this one takes the cake, because he was so different from what i'm used to seeing him play.. His chacter was rude, mean and and a total jerk but you see the real colors at the end. But i still love him, and this movie is just so romantic...

Boring movie, I got it because David Boreanz was in the cast; however, his part was insignificant so he could save the movie.
fun December 25, 2007 bookworm 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a fun movie. The character is hilarious. Some of the things Monica Potter does or is put through is really funny. The guys that are taking her out on dates are just as amusing and very different in character, which makes for a very entertaining movie.
From a Luci December 2, 2007 Carla K. Farrell Although it may not be the greatest movie ever made I'm With Lucy is quirky and fun, and something you can never find anywhere. It came in great condition and quickly.
One of my favorite romantic comedies! July 17, 2007 Kharabella (Somewhere in the midwest . . .) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love romantic comedies, and this one is at the top of my list. In fact, it is one of the few Romantic Comedies that I had to have in my collection at home. I love Monica Potter, and that is why I was initially interested. Surprise surprise -- it really is funny, witty, and sweet, a perfect romantic comedy.
Feeling like the bad dates never end? This is the cutest, most hopeful take on that story that I have ever seen!
