Amazon.com Jackie Chan looks spiffy in The Tuxedo, but the movie needs a tailor. No Jackie Chan movie could be a total misfire, however, and he's charmingly self-effacing here as a hapless chauffeur who inadvertently replaces his injured super-agent boss (Jason Issacs) and foils a madman (Ritchie Coster) who plans to infect the world's water supply (!) and reap a fortune selling pure bottled water. Jackie's a bumbling superhero after donning his boss's high-tech, Inspector Gadget-like tuxedo (it even has a "Mambo" setting), and curvaceous co-agent Jennifer Love Hewitt coaches him in crime fighting while closing in on the bad guys. It's all as routinely ridiculous as it sounds--Jackie's faux James Brown act is the only real highlight--and as critic Roger Ebert observed, the climax hinges on an insect queen that doesn't exist in nature! So, while Jackie and Jennifer provide a few moments of stellar stunts and random amusement, you can blame this mess on screenwriters who didn't do their homework. --Jeff Shannon

Silly, But Fun & Fast-Moving June 4, 2009 Craig Connell (Lockport, NY USA) If you enjoyed Jim Carrey's "The Mask," you might enjoy this Jackie Chan film. It has a similar storyline but instead of a mask, it's a suit someone puts on and the hero receives supernatural powers.
It's all extremely silly but with a lot of slapstick and outrageous scenes, you are going to get some great laugh-out-loud scenes and some really stupid not-funny stuff....especially in a Chan movie. To me, the good stuff in here outweighed the bad. Jackie is an amazing man, with the stunts he can do at his age.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Love Hewitt is easy on the eyes, especially showing us her body, but her character in here is pretty lame. The whole movie is pretty brainless but - if you know that in advance - it's a fast-moving 99 minutes and a good diversion from the seriousness of life.
The Tuxedo February 16, 2009 Matthew Reichel (Seattle, WA USA) DVD was hilarious.
DVD arrived in very timely fashion.
DVD arrived in excellent condition.
Love Jackie Chan January 28, 2009 Tool Owner (Wyoming, MI USA) Cant get enough of Jackie and his great moves. The stunts in the movie are very cool, and its also very funny. I loved the movie and have watched more than once since buying it. Great entertainment value for the dollar.
humorous and well choreographed December 26, 2008 Roberta Green (Cuernavaca, Mexico) Comedy with action and hi-tech gimmicks which are science fiction. If you like Jackie Chan this movie is fun. If you are new to Jackie Chan flicks this may not be the best, but it is good.
Silly and Funny... August 14, 2008 Roberto Vitale (Orlando, FL USA) When you are in the mood for a silly movie, this is it! Jackie Chan always manages to make fun out of every situation. Do not take it serious. It is not an action thriller, or a serious movie, It is a fun movie, just go for the ride!
