Product Description TWO BEST BUDDIES WHOSE LOVE LIVES HAVE HIT ROCK BOTTOM, ONE HAVING JUST VOMITED ALL OVER HIS FIANCE ON A HOT AIR BALLOONTRIP AS HE PROPOSED TO HER. TO ESCAPE THEIR TROUBLES & FIND WOMEN, THEY BOOK A CRUISE, THE AGENT PLAYS A HORRID TRICK ONTHEM & BOOKS THEM ON A GAY CRUISE.
Amazon.com Cuba Gooding Jr. still has the exuberant energy that won him an Academy Award for Jerry Maguire--though his subsequent career choices have not been so golden. Still, he's a charming fellow, and his charisma makes Boat Trip surprisingly inoffensive, despite its plot: After being dumped by his girlfriend, Jerry (Gooding) sinks into a depressive funk until his buddy Nick (Horatio Sanz) drags him to a singles cruise--not realizing they've been sent on a gay singles cruise by a vengeful travel agent. But Jerry meets Gabrielle (Roselyn Sanchez), a sexy dance instructor, and falls head over heels--but to maintain her trust, he has to pretend to be just another gay guy out for a little sea air. Though thick with gay stereotypes, Boat Trip actually has a modest gay-men-are-people-too theme that makes the movie innocuous fluff. Also featuring Vivica A. Fox, Roger Moore, Will Farrell, and Playboy playmate Victoria Silvstedt. --Bret Fetzer

Slapstick all the way August 10, 2009 G. Kirschner (Minneapolis, MN) No one in their right mind would read the back of this box and expect a masterpiece. But it is VERY funny. The gags may be a bit low-brow but it is good humored fun to watch provided your not homophobic or easily offended. If you don't buy it you really won't be missing out but if you do you should get a bunch of good laughs.
Boat Trip January 31, 2009 C. B. Hooper (CLAREMONT, NORTH CAROLINA USA) SAW THIS MOVIE ON TELEVISION AND JUST HAD TO ORDER IT SO I COULD SEE THE "WHOLE THING".....IT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD AND WHAT FUN CUBA GOODING JR IS....I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT GUY !!!!!!!!! ROSELYN SANCHEZ IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND ONE OF MY FAVORITES....CAN'T LEAVE OUT FUNNY GUY HORATIO SANZ...THE COMBINATION OF SANZ AND GOODING WAS PERFECT....SO GLAD I ORDERED THE MOVIE "BOAT TRIP" FOR MY COLLECTION.
Invest your time in something else July 25, 2008 Michael L. Wiersma (Springfield, MA United States) This is a pathetic, boring, offensive movie with an excuse of a "plot" which seems to hinge on topless models and rude jokes about gay men.
I am embarrassed for Cuba Gooding, Jr., who tries to add some life to this shell of a picture, but can't quite pull off the miracle it would take to bring this corpse of a movie to life.
Cuba and his friend (an annoying leg-humper type) go on a cruise and are sent on a gay cruise. Of course a helicopter full of lovely ladies literally drops in, and it's all very stupid and boring and tasteless.
I'd steer clear of this.
Guilty Fun & Victoria Silvstedt! December 17, 2007 Nutrition Man (Florham Park, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Speaking stricly as a heterosexual male, Boat Trip has shameless, "been there, done that" homosexual jokes, and crude humor that you may laugh at out of shear embarassment.
There are also some crude scenes involving a "straight" man, with a "long fellow" when he discovers a group of Scandanavian Goddesses on board...lead by the drop-dead gorgeous Victoria Silvstedt...who could make many "alternative men" straight (in more ways than one)!
Take the movie for what it is - shameless, crude laughs...and enjoy it.
Funny May 8, 2007 Nippani Murthy (San jose, CA) This movie kept me laughing.. Just when i thought it couldn't get any funnier .. it did.
