Product Description LARA CROFT IS ON A QUEST TO SAVE PANDORAS BOX.
Amazon.com Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The Cradle of Life is certainly better than its 2001 predecessor, but its appeal is mostly aimed at fans of the video games that inspired both movies. That pretty much leaves you with some fun but familiar action sequences, and the ever-alluring sight of Angelina Jolie (reprising her title role) as she swims, swings, kicks, shoots, flies, jet-skis, motorcycles, and free-falls her way toward saving the world, this time by making sure that a grimacing villain (Ciaran Hinds) doesn't open Pandora's Box (yes, the actual mythological object) and unleash a deadly plague that will "weed out" the global population. Exotic locations add to Jolie's own coolly erotic appeal, but we're left wondering if this franchise has anywhere else to go. --Jeff Shannon

Pretty Good Action Flick May 4, 2009 C. Hester (Goodlettsville, Tn. USA) This movie was pretty good as a sequel to to the first one. Of course it doesn't measure to the video game, but usually the films don't.
2.5 stars out of 4 December 18, 2008 One-Line Film Reviews (Ann Arbor) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Bottom Line: The original Tomb Raider was at least entertaining, if not great, but the sequel is fairly lifeless; aside from a couple amusing scenes, "Cradle of Life" is flaccid and forgettable.
A good addition to the Tomb Raider collection December 10, 2008 Heather (Illinois, USA) If you have seen and enjoyed the first Tomb Raider, then I recommend buying this one as well. This is a good film with the same type of action as the first one but I did not get into the story as much which is why I only gave this 4 stars. However, Angelina Jolie does another great job in this film and so does Gerard Butler (he was the Leonidas in 300). If you are new to the Tomb Raider movies though, I would suggest watching/buying the first one.
Great Movies Are Hard to Find July 25, 2008 Cindy L. Batton (Charlotte, NC USA) I'm a fan of most Angelina Jolie films, but her series of Lara Croft Tomb Raider films are great. There is so much action & adventure that these films don't leave you bored. The actors that work with her are a good group and transform into a great cast of characters. We have made these movies among our top picks to take on vacations/trips with our portable DVD player.
Suspense and romance - just Gerry. June 17, 2008 Betty J. Kilgore (Medway, Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What can I say...where would Lara Croft be without Gerry Butler around the corner? He is believable in most any role and is such eye candy...it should have been easy for Lara to have lost interest in Pandora's Box with Gerry back in her life....
