    Editorial Reviews:

With 16 music videos under her belt, Jennifer Lopez has a few things to say in this sexy anthology about what it takes to connect people to her songs. She says them concisely in an interview that wraps around The Reel Me's collection of sweet ballads, sweaty dance music, and jagged hip-hop, but the videos actually speak for themselves. "If You Had My Love" makes a closed-circuit, home-security system a vehicle for catching J-Lo in an amorous mood--a ridiculous idea, of course, but terribly hot just the same. "No Me Ames" finds Lopez and Marc Anthony playing an embattled couple in a dramatization of their powerful duet. Other highlights include "Feelin' So Good," in which the star plays a hairdresser who blows her paycheck on a night out with the girls; the "Ain't It Funny" remix, with its deep colors and sassy attitude; and "Jenny from the Block," co-starring Ben Affleck. --Tom Keogh

5 out of 5 stars Old School JLo   July 31, 2008

Love this DVD. I put it on when I run on the treadmill and it will make me run an extra mile (and fast with the beat). All the good ones...

I've really enjoyed this DVD, I recommend it to anyone that likes Jennifer Lopez or just likes Pop music. My kids and I watch it together and my little one watches it all the time. We enjoy all the videos and I'm sure anyone that buys it would too. This is Jennifer Lopez's best DVD so far!

this is just a very good compilation. you get all of j.lo's music video's plus her being interviewed by Sway of MTV about her thoughts and comments on each video before they're played. j.lo is very bubbly, laughy, and chatty. inside also contains couple great pictures....it is candid, good quality, and worth every penny. Good job!

i didn't like the cd though. it has some remixes of a couple of her songs, and they just do not sound good. but i like the dvd so much i just had to give this 5 stars instead of 4.

    4 out of 5 stars jhi   September 3, 2006
baby i love an underrated song for jlo
i guess why many people did not enjoy it because of da fact how da way she looked in the video jlo wore no make up and her clothes were unattractive looking she was trying to reach to her fans by her voice not her appearance i also believe she was literally trying to act by showing actual facial emotions of her video to show her fans how much she really love them but it really did not work however even though she did not look sexy as usual that does not mean i would not listen to her song if jlo looked more presentable this would have been one of her best love songs if not her best up there with hold you down the beat of this love song is perfect peaceful sounding something i would not get tired of listening to

i am glad was an ok hit but i did not enjoy the beat much the way others like it i did however had fun watch her dance in the video that is what me like the song overall if she did not perform the dance stuns that she did i would probably have not watch this video her dancing also made me enjoy the song alittle overall sounds wierd doesn't it? but it is true a nice inspiring song video from jlo

jenny from the block was ok as well the problem i have with some of her songs is that occasionally or normally she use famous beats from other songs that is what gets me a little upset how come she can't use her own beats creativity is the key jlo other than that flaw i found the video to be enjoyable and jadakiss helps make it would decent to listen to by rapping it up in addition ben affleck is feature in the video as well

all i have this is one of my favorite jlo songs ever even if she took the same beat from the famous song in the past this time it was okay she made it work and having llcool j in it made it even better when this song first came out in very late 2002 i listened to it over and over again because it was that good

songs from her other album (2005)

    get right
i like the remix more with fab in it a bit more than the first one because i get to see more of her rocking her black sexy outfit with short black fury hood coat with her pretty stomach being shown her dancing was so sexy in the video the way she was moving her abs around made me more addicted to her the heart of the video was watching jlo moving her stomach around in clockwise like motion and how she was laying down on her stomach and back is just a sight to see while jlo may not be the prettiest she is certainly one of the sexiest and when a lady got sexy in her it is quite difficult to turn her down the beat is also off the chain i don't pay much attention to fab's rapping it was all about jlo moving around in an attractively this is one of jlo's sexiest performance trust jb when i so up there with janet jackson video dance all nite don't stop and aaliyah ever so popular video rock the boat

hold you down features fat joe is the love song i like from jlo she does very little dancing in it just emotional sing and decent rapping from fat joe made this one of my all-time favorite jlo's songs ever the beat is as peaceful as her other love song baby i love you but has a better sound and tune than her other love song

    5 out of 5 stars A 5.1 masterpiece.   April 30, 2006

Ok, I'll get straight to the point. I am one of those people who, when listening to a 5.1 track, wants to be fully pleased.

This DVD does that. Some music DVDs with 5.1 tracks use cheap tricks to make it "surround" whether they just use the same track in each channel or emulate a Pro Logic II effect. This DVD, however, takes the 5.1 track above and beyond my expectations. It was like watching all the videos for the first time again. My absolute favorite surround track in this collection is "Waiting For Tonight." The song (as all the other songs) has been re-remixed for surround and is just awesome. The way the vocals and instrumentals with samples have been laid out stays fresh and doesn't get old. Most, if not all, of these songs sound much better than the stereo track. Some songs don't seem to really be meant for surround but songs such as "If You Had My Love" and "Play" are perfect for testing out the surround if you are just getting a new system or want to remember what it's like to love having a good home theater.
