Fearful Fun-Fest... August 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This three-movie collection of aussie spookers is well worth the price. PATRICK- A comatose murderer is still able to cause problems by using telekinesis. He becomes infatuated w/ his nurse (Susan Penhaligon) and his jealousy is unleashed on her husband and any male foolish enough to get involved w/ her. not much in the way of violence, but the story is pretty creepy. STRANGE BEHAVIOR- Teens are turning into psychotic murderers due to their involvement w/ experiments in behavior modification. Some bloody deaths and mutilations ensue. The finale is a grabber! Michael Murphy (Batman Returns, Count Yorga, Vampire) plays the police chief who attempts to solve the killings. THIRST- A woman is abducted in order to be inducted into a cult of modern-day vampires. She soon learns that the compound where she's being held is actually a "blood dairy" where drugged, human cattle are held for milking! This one's a masterpiece! Henry Silva (Alligator) co-stars. THE AUSSIE HORROR COLLECTION is money well spent... P.S.- Vol. 2 is equally entertaining!...
2 out of 3 ain't bad July 21, 2005 1 out of 18 found this review helpful
These are 3 pretty good movies. Thirst is the best, a fascinating take on the vampire myth. Patrick is the least, about a psychic teen in a coma. Strange Behaviour is somewhere in the middle, and it the oddest.
However, I'm giving this boxed set 1 star simply because it's called "Aussie Horror Collection" but Strange Behaviour is actually from New Zealand. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
