First Introduction to Thalia August 16, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
What amazes me about Thalia is the diversity of styles in her music. One might say that she's selling out and looking for the latest craze in latin or US music each time. However, she can pull it off and that shows ability. Her voice is strong enough to carry her from ballads like "No Me Ensenaste..." to the incredible "Circa De Ti". I dont like her experimentation with rap, but admit that I could see how others would. I'll bet she would be great in reggaeton with Daddy or Don Omar.
Her traditional Mexican songs like "Amor a La Mexicana" and "Piel Morena" can hook you, but my favorite on this album is "Maria de la Barrio".
She definitely has a lot of talented people around her helping with these productions, pero su talento es en este album. Su voz no es como Laura Pausini, pero su voz es mejor que muchos artistas. Claro, ella es muy linda, pero no es el solo razon ella es una estrella. Pero Paulina Rubio ya es mi novia de mis suenos :)
If you buy this, you will enjoy it. The production quality and catchy rhythms mean you can stick this in your CD player without having to skip over any songs. This is a good sampling to introduce you to a very popular artist in the latin genre.

Don't know how many versions of this DVD are out there? My DVD (UPC # 724349098794) has 16 videos listed on the back cover - HOWEVER there are an additional 4 videos (marked below with a ?) on the DVD itself, and which can be seen and accessed on the main menu. This gives the DVD (or mine at least) 20 videos in total.
The extras include a photo gallery, discography and a short biography.
1. Piel Morena 2. Gracias A Dios 3. Amandote ?. Nandito Ako 4. Por Amor 5. Amor A La Mexicana 6. Mujer Latina 7. Arrasando 8. Regresa A Mi 9. Entre El Mar Y Una Estrella 10. Reencarnacion 11. Amor A La Mexicana (Emilio Banda Remix) 12. Tu Y Yo 13. No Me Ensenaste 14. A Quien Le Importa 15. Me Pones Sexy 16. Baby, I'm In Love ??. Amor A La Mexicana (Remix Version) ??. It's My Party ??. I Want You

There are some good videos in this collection. All but one are in spanish. A worthwhile rental or possibly purchase.
Get rid of your tapes--DVD is here! September 28, 2004 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
After discovering Thalia back in '97, I made an effort to catch all of her wonderfully sexy videos and preserve them on tape. Unfortunately, after years of use, they got to be pretty bad looking, not to mention that they were scattered all over the place: some grouped together, others hidden in commercial breaks. So I am grateful that Thalia (her people?) deigned to have this collection released on DVD.
And what a collection it is. Starting at 1995--the year Thalia moved to EMI, as this collection eschews the embarrassing early '90s--the videos continue until the 2002 album era. Fellow reviewers have expressed anger at 'It's My Party'--the english version of Arrasando--not being included. Obviously, if in existence, it should have been included, for posterity alone. I can only conclude that Thalia considers it a horrible song--as did many others--and is hoping fans have forgotten it.
Twenty dollars for a bunch of music videos is kind of steep, but this collection is unique: not only because it contains so many good songs, but because it is a snapshot, capturing a highly sexual time period in Thalia's long history. To clarify: her videos--while not quite pushing the limits of good taste as Gloria Trevi might--were a sensation, not only due to her, many times, erotic dance moves, but because of Thalia herself. A sweet woman, unique among a bunch of augmented supermodel wannabes, she thought nothing of showing off her body in a variety of revealing outfits, sending her fans (male and female) into a lustful hypnotism. But as time pressed on she began to tone it down, just a bit at first, but it was disheartening. As 2003 loomed, she was done. Thalia became a soccermom (albeit a really hot one.) There's no explaining it: maybe age calmed her down, or her new marriage, but her sexy days were over, making this a hot, and sad, collection.
Highly recommended.
A great DVD! June 19, 2004 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I think this is a great DVD!, with the most of her hits!; but the only diference is that here in Mexico this DVD only have 17 videos( it doesn't have the remixed versions of "Mujer latina" and "Amor a la mexicana" also don't include the unrealeased videos "It's my party" and "Nandito Ako"), I also don't know why she didn't included "Cerca de ti" video. Well, Never the less is a great DVD! I recomend it very much. You should buy it!
