 Bonding with wild horses and different generations November 21, 2009

We and our two Alaska Huskies settled down during a chilly November night in the Heartland to watch the movie which simply presented a story on an isolated but lovely island with just a few humans and some beautiful wild horses. Nothing high tech and absolutely no long car chases!
The movie met all our expectation --story of a young boy sent to his aunt who works with the horses on the island. His family has a lot of problems and fighting, and one can only hope the quiet island, the aunt and the horses can heal his pain.
But there are glitches, even in the island environment. The boy tries to learn what his aunt (the ever beautiful Jane Seymour) is like and what she expects from him. Also the very simple life, compared with the city.
There is only one other character with any real time in movie ---the wilderness bureaucrat, played by Charles Martin Smith. (He's older than his wilderness bureaucrat in "Never Cry Wolf," but still feisty.)
The horses are in the background for a while, and then an orphaned foal grabs at the boy's heart, and we wondered if all that built up might come crashing down.
Watch the movie, with any pets you might have. You will all enjoy it.

A sad boy comes to reside with his isolated, abroad aunt in "Touching Agrarian Horses," a absolutely admirable blur starring Jane Seymour and Mark Rendall. On the island there are agrarian horses, which are not to be affected - and an aunt, it seems, who isn't to be affected either. Aunt and nephew apprentice to coexist, and ultimately to adulation one addition and allotment their tragedies.
When the boy makes a aberration with a colt, the two have to plan calm to accomplish it appropriate and advise the filly to reside a part of the added horses, absolute of humans. Conversely, the Seymour appearance has become absolute of bodies as well. In the end, all God's creatures charge to apprentice their acquaint and acquisition out area their accurate backbone absolutely is.
Jane Seymour is admirable as the tough, icy aunt. Normally a alluring beauty, Seymour lets herself be apparent as an earlier woman, her face asperous by nature. Mark Rendall is arresting as the boy who absent all but his mother in a car blow for which he blames himself, while his mother charcoal in a coma.
This is a wholly acceptable blur in every way, not alone the adventure and acting, but it has admirable backdrop and arresting horses. Highly recommended.

I came across the last 30 minutes of this movie on one of the women channels and became so ingrossed with it I had to see the whole movie.
I went to several rental places, unable to either rent or order it. Thank God for Amazon.com.
This movie is so great, I have watched it three times since recieving it. It will become a standard in our home.

Touching Wild Horses is a well-acted story of a boy who comes to an island to stay with a woman who does not want him. The wild horses on the island help to warm their relationship and they band together to save an orphan foal. Well done and highly recommended.
