Amazon.com Good enough to suggest long-term franchise potential, The Bourne Supremacy is a thriller fans will appreciate for its well-crafted suspense, and for its triumph of competence over logic (or lack thereof). Picking up where The Bourne Identity left off, the action begins when CIA assassin and partial amnesiac Jason Bourne (a role reprised with efficient intensity by Matt Damon) is framed for a murder in Berlin, setting off a chain reaction of pursuits involving CIA handlers (led by Joan Allen and the duplicitous Brian Cox, with Julia Stiles returning from the previous film) and a shadowy Russian oil magnate. The fast-paced action hurtles from India to Berlin, Moscow, and Italy, and as he did with the critically acclaimed Bloody Sunday, director Paul Greengrass puts you right in the thick of it with split-second editing (too much of it, actually) and a knack for well-sustained tension. It doesn't all make sense, and bears little resemblance to Robert Ludlum's novel, but with Damon proving to be an appealingly unconventional action hero, there's plenty to look forward to. --Jeff Shannon

he couldn't [cut] even [cut] wait 1/[cut]2 of a 1/2 second[cut] to finish a[cut] shot of some[cut] guy closing a car [cut]door....This [cut]is actually [cut]a [cut]repeat [cut]viewing; I went to[cut] [cut]the theater 5 years[cut] ago to see[cut] somethin[cut]g with my cousin, what it [cut]was, i can't[cut] remember, but whatever [cut]we wanted to see: we[cut] were too early, [ok, you get the point with the cutting] so we opted for this. I remember almost falling asleep in the theater, and it almost happened again last night. That was probably the most boring car chase I've ever seen this side of a Bay movie.
Useless film.
My favorite of the Trilogy September 20, 2009 E. Meyers (Germany) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my favorite of the Bourne series as it is the middle film where you are right in the center of the action...I think the characters work well together and there is already an inkling of the full back story of how Bourne became who he is. The action is fast-paced and we move with Bourne across the globe. My favorite scenes are those in Russia and Berlin. Highly recommended!

This was a terrible copy of a copy with the scenes incredibly dark with futuristic green flesh tones.
Do not buy this

An Entertaining Action Flick June 18, 2009 S. Peek (Rocky Mountains, USA) This second installment in the Bourne series picks up where the first one leaves off and does so in a very entertaining fashion.
It begins a couple of years after the first movie and finds Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) living with his lover Maria (Frank Potente) in India. He is framed for the murder of a CIA agent and someone makes an attempt on his life. These events set the action in motion and it never slows down after that.
The story goes from India across Europe and also has action in Russia. Bourne is a very efficient operator and makes life very dangerous for those who are gunning for him. As the plot unfolds, he keeps regaining parts of his memory.
Anyone who liked the Bourne Identity should love this one. It is a better thriller and will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. I enjoyed it a lot.
