Worth Watching January 6, 2009 TomTO (Ontario, Canada) Not of the same calibre of "Sordid Lives" but still worth looking at. We're all avid fans of Sordid Lives here and anything written by Del Shores is worth watching. Molly McClure is amazing and reminds you of Beth Grant.
Quirky & Funny August 16, 2008 C. Andrews (NC, USA) I just happened to find this movie several years ago on one of the premium channels. I had never heard of it but from the info given it sounded interesting. I watch this movie and laughed & laughed. It has a great cast of actors. And each character is essential to the movie. It's a movie that isn't a block buster but it is a movie that is very entertaining & one that you can watch over & over. It's about a crazy southern family, with quirky habits, lots of sibling rivalry, family love, and a family bond that eventually allows them to over come their obstacles & their feuds with one another & being a southerner I can relate. I have a list of movies that I have seen and enjoyed but they are rarely ever shown on TV again. So I went on-line & found it. If you want a laugh and to be highly entertained this is the movie to add to your DVD collection. I just loved it & I am glad I found it.
Daddy's Dyin'-Who's Got The Will? (movie on DVD) July 25, 2007 Patricia Slavin (USA) This is a funny movie that may have been overlooked by many. Anything that can make us laugh is a good thing.
One of my all time favorites March 16, 2007 Carol Wilkinson (Old Hickory, Tn. United States) I had almost forgotten this little movie. It is at times hilarious, tearful, one of those movies you want to see again a year or two later. The cast is perfect and growing up in the deep south, I recognized many of the characters and the situations. You always have the "trashy" one, the "churchy" one, the one who stays home to take care of aging parents, and the beer drinking loud-mouth. It was a treat to find this movie again.
Daddy's Dyin' Whose Got the Will? August 18, 2006 Pumpkin Candy 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I loved watching this movie with my grandmother growing up. I'd have sleepovers at my grandparents house and I'd always want to watch this film. The characters in this movie are entertaining and they will remind you of your own family in some way. I'm not sure why this movie is so unpopular, but if you caught it on TV or just came across this DVD online- buy it and watch it with your own family.
