JOHN WAYNE MOVIE COLLECTIBLES Vol. 1 is the first of three small sets of pre-Stagecoach Wayne westerns. These four hour-length films are on a single double-sided DVD. Wayne stars in only two of them.
SYNOPSES:
"Lawless Range" - Wayne travels to the Pequeno Valley to investigate a series of violent raids occurring there. He's captured, and struggles to escape in time to save a group of ranchers.
"The Lucky Texan" - Wayne and his mining partner strike it rich, but tragedy ensues when one of them is accused of murder.
"Range Feud" - A western Romeo is falsely framed and sentenced to hang for the murder of his ladyfriend's father. A Buck Jones western, with Wayne playing the accused.
"Two-Fisted Law" - Wayne loses his ranch, girl and freedom when he becomes the prime suspect in the robbery of the Wells Fargo Express Office. In this Tim McCoy oater, Wayne is sidekick "Duke."
ULTIMATE JOHN WAYNE COLLECTION is an excellent box set of many of Duke's early films (plus three serials).
