Good Dog July 12, 2009 Carolyn A. Gwynn (Desoto, Texas USA) These movies are hilarious. If you like dogs, you will like this movie. The kids are so cute and Charles Grodin is so funny. Beethoven is just a lovable, slobbering family pet that makes you want to take him home with you. And the PUPPIES!!! How sweet they are. Ryce is such a typical teen and yet almost too good to be true. If you like dogs and kids, you will enjoy this movie.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! January 5, 2009 Pumpkin Man Beethoven- Today is my 19th Birthday, and this movie is a childhood favorite that I received as a Christmas present back in 1992. This movie is very funny if you are a dog-lover. Little Beethoven escapes from some bad guys and wonders into the Newton house. The children and mom thinks that George Newton got him, but he hates the idea of keeping him. He slowly starts to like Beethoven, until he thinks that Beethoven bites a doctor who wants to run tests on him. Later, the Newton family hurry to save their beloved dog. I highly recommend BEETHOVEN!!!
Beethoven's 2nd- Today is my 19th Birthday and this movie is a childhood favorite. In my opinion, the first two Beethoven movies are the only worthwhile chapters in the 'series' Beethoven is discovering love and finds a female St. Bernard named Missy. Brillo and Regina are going through a divorce and evil Regina wants to keep Missy to make Brillo's life miserable without her. Beethoven and Missy make sweet passionate love and Missy gives birth to 4 baby puppies. The Newton kids try to hide them from their parents. Later, after the parents find out, they spend vacation at a cottage and Ryce goes to a party where all the guys are getting drunk. Regina loses Missy again and makes her puppies find her, so the Newton family has to come to the rescue. I highly recommend BEETHOVEN'S 2ND!!!
Loved it! Good movie to watch w/ whole family! May 25, 2008 M. OToole (South Boston, MA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My family loved this movie, it was hysterical. Want to watch a good family movie would recommend buying this one.
Misinformation-Buyer Beware! December 19, 2007 Hopeless Sitcom Fanatic 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Well, I love both of these movies (the only good ones out of all five) but this set is terrible. The video is compressed, and there are almost no extras. Just some lame production notes and a trailer for Beethoven's 2nd. Also, Amazon says this is a 2-disc set when it is only on one disc. It's also a double sided disc, and it doesn't even say side 2. If you like the movies and just want the movies then this is fine, but beware that this DVD is pretty terrible.
Criminal behavior encouraged??? December 14, 2007 Sarah E. Wall (Maryland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I don't know what that other reviewer is spazzing about - kids love this series, and I've never felt I was uh encouraging criminal behavior in my child by showing them beethoven for goodness sakes!!! Some people... ANyway, this is a great flick for the entire family - you won't be sorry!
