Product Description TWO OPPOSITES HAVE A ONE-FLIGHT STAND FROM LA TO NEW YORK. WHEN THE TRIP'S OVER, THEY ARE TOO - & BOTH MOVE ON BUT REALLY CAN'T LET GO. AS THEY SEARCH FOR LOVE, THEY KEEP FINDING EACH OTHER. AND WHILE THE CHEMISTRY THAT FIRST BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER KEEPS GENERATING HEAT, THE TIMING IS ALWAYS WRONG.
Amazon.com The words "subtle" and "Ashton Kutcher" rarely appear in the same sentence, but here goes: A Lot Like Love, a romantic comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet, is surprisingly and pleasantly subtle. The story starts when Emily (Peet, Igby Goes Down) and Oliver (Kutcher, Dude, Where's My Car?) meet on a flight to New York and have a tryst in the airplane bathroom. After a day's dalliance, they part and don't meet again for four years--when they meet, spend a day together, part, and don't meet again until...you begin to get the idea. The script could have been dangerously cute, but director Nigel Cole (who helmed the delightful Calendar Girls) carefully steers Peet and Kutcher, two actors not generally noted for their grasp of character nuance, towards fairly three-dimensional portrayals of two floundering twentysomethings who can't seem to find the right moment. There are a few rom-com cliches--at one point, Oliver serenades Emily in front of an audience of her neighbors--but most of the movie is low-key, engaging, and smacks of actual human experience. Also featuring Kal Penn (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle) and Kathryn Hahn (Anchorman). --Bret Fetzer

Muy entretenida April 21, 2009 Orlando (Santiago, Chile) Muy buena pelicula. Especial para quienes les gustan las de tipo romantico y vivieron la epoca dorada de los emprendimientos de Internet. Buenas actuaciones y buena musica. Muy bien los protagonistas. Recomendable.
poor March 11, 2009 Sabrin L. Velez I have ordered several videos from amazon, and this is the first time that i have never reaceived a product. I would like this issue resolved. Thank you Sabrina Velez
great movie February 18, 2009 charleen bradley (Port Charlotte, FL) I saw this movie on TV one weekend and knew I had to have it. I could not find it in any of my local movie or department stores, so I went straight to amazon.com to find it. Sure enough, they had it and a great price for it too. Received emails throughout the ordering and shipping processes and received my DVD well packaged about the time, maybe a day earlier, than I expected. I've bought quite a few items from amazon.com and have never been disappointed yet.
GREAT MOVIE! January 28, 2009 Rhonda Gatscher (Detroit) This is a movie that I can watch over and over. It's so warm and heart lifting.
A Lot Like Love January 24, 2009 Doreen Zywocinski I had always just seen bits and pieces of this movie and I mentioned to my 16 year old that I really wanted to see the whole thing. She purchased it for me for Christmas. I treated myself to watching the whole thing, beginning to end and loved every second of it. It's not very often a 16 and 50 year old can sit together these days and watch a movie but this was just one of those movies. Im not a huge movie person but this was one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. It's just a happy kind of feeling you get.
