3 out of 5 stars The Golden Era of Bad Grindhouse Films!!!   February 26, 2009

Most of these films are terribly awful like The Manipulator, The Legend of Bigfoot, Twister's Revenge, Voodoo Black Exorcist, Mama Dracula and much more. There are a few that I like such as Prime Time, Katie's Passion, and Black Hooker. Pretty much, the only movie I really love is Prime Time! Prime Time is extremely hilarious! I love all the skits and gags! It's a shame that hardly anyone knows about it and it's extremely hard to find. One night, an unknown source has interrupted all television around the world, and in it's place, some weird shows, commercials, and a sex telethon. There is news about aborting the fetus during it's 5th year of life. Ole Ben Lucas. Trans Puerto Rico, The Charles Whitman Invitational. Manny's Nymphs, The S**theads, and much more! If you love ol' crappy grindhouse films, you'll love DRIVE-IN MOVIE CLASSICS!!!

4 out of 5 stars Good, but too gory in places.   January 9, 2009

Once again, Mill Creek presents a fun box set of 50 movies, but 4 or five of them were very gory.

4 out of 5 stars Trash at it's finest but...   December 21, 2008

The movies are all great...in their own way. I like most of them (though I haven't seen all of them. To be true, I haven't even seen 10 of them. Bute the ones I saw were stupid, cheap and trashy-Just great.
The problem is the picture. First the quality is rather bad which is no problem since I wasn't expecting much and got more then what I thought I would bust the problem is the second:
The piocture seems to be cut to fit the 4:3 format. Because they probably came from 16:9 or something as common about 1/3 of the picture is cut from both sides. So sometimes persons disappear but you hear them speak or the shakyness of the camera becomes unbareable to look at.
But nevertheless I recommend the movies. It gives a deep look into history of trash cinema.

    4 out of 5 stars A mix of funny/scary and boring...   November 3, 2008

I bought this collection for about $2 at a local supermarket(Shoprite, I think). For that price, it was definitely worth it!

I watched two: "Moon of the Wolf" and "Mama Dracula."

They were both incredibly boring, but according to "Bindy Sue Fronkuenschtein 'bigfootsalienbaby'," those are some of the worst. There was a surprising amount of nudity in the latter (and it wasn't like I was very interested, being a female not interested in females), which may explain the R-rating. It was also very hard to follow, everything was all over the place. One minute the professor was dancing with an Eastern European woman, the next, he was in a coach to Mama Dracula's castle. Although boring, some scenes were kind of funny.

The first movie was incredibly boring, and I couldn't sit through the whole thing. The girl was killed and for about the next 15 minutes, the chief walked around talking to bland and uninteresting characters for information.

I will watch the other movies recommended by the reviewer named above. Overall, I think $2 for anything makes it a good deal. I would buy it at the grocery store, not for $12.
