| Editorial Reviews:
Description Katie Holmes stars as First Daughter Samantha Mackenzie _ a sheltered young woman who just wants a normal school experience, away from the influence of her parents. Only trouble is, her dad (Michael Keaton) is the President of the United States! A "modern" young woman of the 16th century, Ever After - Danielle (Barrymore) is as independent and wise as she is beautiful and kind. Against remarkable odds, she stands up to her scheming stepmother (Huston) and works miracles on the lives of everyone around her, including the crown prince of France (Dougray Scott)

well it was funny thought the mother didn't much care for her daughter only her husbands carear. The ending left you guessing will they get together. I liked chasing liberty better at least they got back together at the end of the movie. The movies are alike but chasing liberty was better.
