Amazon.com Though officially disbanded, Destiny's Child proves in this concert video why they're one of the most successful soul/R&B groups of all time. Filmed at Atlanta's Phillips Arena during their Destiny Fulfilled farewell tour, the trio pulled all the stops--short of flying over the audience--to put on a spectacular show for their fans. Opening the show with their Grammy-winning "Say My Name," the group--who famously sang while running around a track as girls to build their lung strength--belted their harmonies and runs while dancing through a medley of hits including "No, No, No," "Bugaboo," "Bills, Bills, Bills," "Bootylicious" and "Jumpin' Jumpin.'" The concert not only featured their greatest hits, but jammed in singles from their final album, Destiny Fulfilled. The girls sang the slinky "Cater 2 U" while giving lap dances to three lucky male audience members, while "Soldier" (with choreography that emulated Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation") included guest-star rappers T.I. and Lil' Wayne. The group closed with their anthem "Survivor," and the peppy "Lose My Breath" which featured a waterfall onstage that doused the singers. To prove their mettle as solo artists, each member got their own segment to show off what they've accomplished outside of Destiny's Child. Both Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have diverse and strong voices well-suited to their genres--soul/R&B and gospel, respectively--but it becomes clear when they're each alone on the stage that they don't have the solo prowess of dominant member Beyonce Knowles, who tore through her hits "Crazy in Love," "Baby Boy," and "Naughty Girl" with sexy moves and an electric stage presence rarely matched by other soul divas. When she's joined by Rowland and Williams, Knowles melds back into Destiny's Child as an equal member, but it's clear this star's best days are still ahead of her. --Ellen A. Kim

Entertaining albeit some tasteless pitfalls May 30, 2009 Callisto (DC USA) High quality production delivered with high energy albeit tasteless at times with stage dancers pulling their pants down on stage to display their "package" in briefs, backup singers bumping talent from behind in sexual innuendos, and a call to several males in the audience that comes too close to a lap dance for my taste. I'm all for sexuality, but this performance crossed the line on several occassions. Recommended to DC fans for its presentation, superb lighting, and strong stage performances. VQ and AQ are excellent with deep blacks, beautifully saturated color, and well balanced sound. For a classy presentation watch Shakira's Oral Fixation, or Beyonce - The Beyonce Experience concert.
Not 2 shabby 4 the price! January 19, 2009 Jermaine K. Waters If you are a Destiny's Child fan or know someone who is they will surely enjoy this disc. Some may say you don't need the Blu-ray version just the regular DVD and a player that does the upconversion, but who am I to argue? It's simply a matter of opinion!
Great performance!!!! Love DC October 19, 2008 Carlos E. Parra-herran (Miami, FL USA) Even better than the previous DVD. The show was amazing, it makes you feel like you were there.
Blu-ray Beautiful Eye Candy September 12, 2008 JD (New York USA) Anyone who likes the music of Beyonce or Destiny's Child will be blown-away by this concert. A Dazzling HD Audio & Video Feast for the senses. The Technical Engineering of this Atlanta concert is outstanding. A definite demo disc to show the perfection of your new High Def TV and HD Multichannel Surround System. The concert is a High Octane Good Time. Great music and visually stunning choreography. Enjoy solo or at a party. You will be entertained!
