Not the choices one would expect November 10, 2007 James A. Vedda (Alexandria, VA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Two of the three movies in this collection may prove disappointing to Clooney fans. "Solaris" will appeal to hard-core science fiction buffs (for example, ardent fans of "2001 - A Space Odyssey" will like it), but it's too bizarre and perhaps too hard to follow for many viewers. "Thin Red Line" includes Clooney only in a cameo appearance of barely two minutes at the end of a nearly-three-hour movie. Clearly, these two selections were not the best choices for a Clooney showcase. Rather, this package was designed to bring additional sales to three movies that are a few years old and aren't selling well anymore. That's not to say that these are bad movies. "Solaris" is well produced and has its niche audience. "Thin Red Line" is a superb World War II movie for those who like realistic portrayals akin to "Saving Private Ryan." And "One Fine Day" features Clooney at his romantic-comedy best, paired with the always exquisite Michelle Pfeiffer. If these three very different genres - sci-fi, war movie, and romantic comedy - all appeal to you, this collection is a good choice. If you want a George Clooney fix, you're likely to be disappointed, so look elsewhere.
Clooney is a joke March 17, 2007 Joe Mac Guy (USA) 2 out of 20 found this review helpful
the man is another joke in Hollywood. He can not act. He would not a good script if he saw one. He gets roles only because of looks and because he can charm his way with the female co-stars. The man is a real toad. Always will be.
5 minutes -- that's it. August 19, 2006 I. Davit (San Francisco, CA) 16 out of 18 found this review helpful
Don't buy this pack if you think Clooney has a major part in Thin Red Line. He's only in the film for 5 minutes. That's it. The movie is great--don't get me wrong. But this is not a "DEAL" if you're thinking Clooney Trilogy.
