Product Description Piper Perabo lights up the screen as Rachel a blushing bride whose perfect nuptials take a surprising turn at the altar. An innocent glance between Rachel and an unexpected wedding guest is all it takes to spark a 'love at first sight' romance with a surprising twist -- the object of Rachel's affection is a smart and sensuous... woman! Their shocking romance causes quite a stir amongst her family and friends as Rachel is forced to choose between her husband and the girl of her dreams. Say 'I do' to the wonderfully witty film that Cosmopolitan calls "a refreshing romantic comedy."System Requirements:Running Time: 93 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: COMEDY Rating: R UPC: 024543247258 Manufacturer No: 2234725
Amazon.com Writer/director Ol Parker's debut takes its title from "Happy Together" by the Turtles ("Imagine me and you / and you and me") and its inspiration from the romantic comedies of Richard Curtis (Love Actually). There's a twist. Flower shop owner Luce (Lena Headey, The Brothers Grimm) is gay. Newlywed Rachel (a convincingly UK-accented Piper Perabo, Lost and Delirious) is straight. The two meet at Rachel's wedding--Luce designed the floral arrangements--and feel an instant connection. Rachel brushes it off. After all, the charming Heck (Matthew Goode, Match Point) was her best friend long before he became her husband. Shortly after the ceremony, however, she begins to feel as if something is missing. She starts making excuses to see Luce. First it's to thank her for the flowers, then it's to invite her to dinner with Heck and their on-the-make pal Cooper (a hilarious Darren Boyd)...who's crushed when he discovers that Luce prefers women. Rachel, meanwhile, finds married life pleasant enough, but only really feels alive when she's with Luce. It's tricky, because she loves Heck and doesn't want to hurt his feelings, so she and Luce decide to stop seeing each other. But the bond between the two is too powerful for either to resist. What it may lack in originality, Imagine Me & You makes up for in an enchanting soundtrack and sensitive performances from its three likable leads. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

Love this movie! June 30, 2009 Dog Lover The first time i watched this movie was on youtube, I loved the movie so much that I just had to get the dvd. I wasn't disappointed. The video and sound quality was fantastic! The deleted scenes and the interviews were a definite bonus. This is a light-hearted romantic comedy that started on Rachel's wedding day, when she glanced at one side and met Luce's eyes. It was love at first sight! No sex scenes here except for that one passionate kiss. The chemistry between them is unbelievable! Although I felt sorry for Heck (Rachel's husband) I really rooted for Rachel and Luce. The other characters added humor to the whole movie because they had the most amusing lines! And I'm glad the creators made sure everybody got their happy endings. This is the kind of movie you'd like to watch late at night, It would definitely leave a smile on your lips just before you go to sleep. I'm definitely keeping this so i can watch it again!
Happy together June 28, 2009 Amanda Richards (Georgetown, Guyana) "Imagine me and you, I do I think about you day and night, it's only right To think about the girl you love and hold her tight So happy together" (The Turtles) Short Attention Span Summary (SASS): 1. Boy marries girl 2. Girl sees girl across the crowded room 3. Girl finds reasons to keep seeing girl 4. Delightful romantic comedy follows with great music and energetic dance sequence via Dance Dance Revolution 5. ... and everyone lives happily, even though not necessarily together Piper Perabo and Lena Headey are the shining stars of this British romantic comedy, which leaves you with both a good feeling and a catchy song which you won't be able to stop singing for weeks after seeing the movie. Recommended for anyone who believes in love at first sight, and those who take a little longer. Amanda Richards, June 27, 2009

Very sweet December 30, 2008 KimonoMomo (San Francisco, California, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Sure, it's a lighthearted comedy, a romance, and a fantasy. The plot has got about as many holes in it as your typical Hollywood romantic comedy, but I won't complain. This film really came in handy when I wanted to show to my soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend at the time what I was going through. He laughed along with me at the funny parts, cheered for the heroines to reach their happy ending and generally demonstrated that even though it's a chick flick (in more ways than the conventional one), even a guy can enjoy it. Not only that, but he and I are still the best of friends, which is a pretty darn happy ending in my opinion.
