This was an avant guard program on HBO.
There was a surprise with every episode.
Excellent cast.
HBO made a mistake in not continuing the series.

this is my favorite show of all time and it was cancelled after two seasons. Oh... if only i was entertained by shows like dawson's creek, i could watch show's that last. Damn you HBO, at least put it out on Blu Ray...

Love this series!! I still make references to Carnivale. Hint-don't listen to the commentary before you've seen the whole series. Wish I haven't watched it, so that I can watch it again for the first time!!
