Amazon.com The bonds of true friendship and love are powerful enough to persist through even the most extreme circumstances, but can even the strongest bond endure when a young man and a young woman are split apart by the spirits? Since being turned into a bear as punishment for his insensitivity in Brother Bear, Kenai has managed to find true happiness and a compelling sense of purpose in his new relationship with his adopted brother Koda. But when Kenai's old friend Nita prepares for her wedding day with another man, the spirits send a sign indicating that a strong connection still exists between Kenai and Nita. The tribe Shaman suggests that the two join forces in a ritual to sever the bond between them and Nita, newly endowed with the ability to communicate with animals, seeks out Kenai in the woods. Even as the two friends resolutely journey to break the connection between them, the inescapable bond between them strengthens and threatens to disrupt not only Nita's upcoming marriage, but the special relationship between Kenai and Koda. In the end, destiny may require that each of the three choose between his or her happiness and the happiness of the other two. Like its predecessor Brother Bear, Brother Bear 2 features lush animation; a nice blend of action, suspense, and comedy; and a powerful message. (Ages 3 - 12) --Tami Horiuchi

so great of a sequel! it should of went to theaters!! June 19, 2009 Natalie Cardoza (stockton,ca) wow this is one of disneys best direct-to-dvd sequels! love the songs by melissa etheridge!! i actually watch the credits roll at the end of the movie so i can listen to the songs. and i also watched this movie wearing my chroma-depth 3d glasses, which made the whole movie 3d!! i dont understand why this movie didnt go to theaters? it was that good. it had all elements to make you laugh, cry, and smile! i watch this movie over and over! most of disneys sequels suck, but brother bear 2 was wonderful!! some other favorite disney sequels of mine are...lion king 2, lion king 1 and a half, 101 dalmations 2: patchs london adventure, bambi 2, lady and the tramp 2. give those a try also! i do not recommend watching any of the princess sequels like cinderella 2 and 3 or aladdin sequels, fox and the hound 2...huge dissapointment!! stray away from those, you will only waste your time.
Doesn't Grab Attention December 28, 2008 R. Cobb I loved Brother Bear 1 and when I was ordering it online I stumbled upon Brother Bear 2 and decided to buy it as well. I have to say, I liked the first movie better. Brother Bear 2 just didn't hold my attention well. It contains alot of meaningless romance that strays away from the plot. Don't get me wrong; love is good in a movie, but when the characters stop their quest for over half of the show to hold contests about who is the best matchmaker while at the same time yelling at each other and then abandoning and forgeting about Coda (the little bear) while they fall in love, it just gets my mood down. >.< Overall, still okay to buy and enjoy, but be warned. If you're not the type of person to find matchmaking interesting (or if you're buying this for a little boy instead of a little girl), you might want to just stick with Brother Bear 2.
Brother Bear 2 Rocks!! August 28, 2008 Michelle Marchand 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased Brother Bear 2 because I loved the story of the first one so much and hoped that the second would continue in the heartfelt beauty of it. It did. I love it as much as the first one, which doesn't often happen.

Didn't care for it. Poor story line. Did not live up to Disney standards.

My kids and I really enjoyed seeing the 2nd movie. We thought it was really well done. A great story and love the songs. Thought it was better than the original
