    Editorial Reviews:

    Amazon.com
Click is a high-concept, low-brow variation on It's a Wonderful Life that will have Adam Sandler fans laughing even as it leaves Frank Capra spinning in his grave. In their third collaboration (after The Wedding Singer and The Waterboy, Sandler and director Frank Coraci aim at the lowest common denominator and consistently hit their target, from scary casting (David Hasselhoff as Sandler's shallow, sexist boss; Sean Astin in a tight red Speedo) to a rancid menu of fart jokes, fat jokes, oversexed dogs, and other attempts at humor that rarely rise above the level of grade-school pranks. Sandler's "family comes first" sentiment somehow manages to survive the onslaught of rude, crude attitude that Sandler brings to his role as Michael Newman, a workaholic architect who learns the hard way that, well, family comes first. This happens after Newman gets a magical remote control from Morty (Christopher Walken, the film's one and only highlight), an eccentric oddball in the "Beyond" section of a Bed, Bath & Beyond store who's a devilish version of Wonderful Life's benevolent guardian angel. But Sandler's no James Stewart as he uses his techno-marvel (complete with a DVD-like "life menu") to fast-forward through his life's most unpleasant moments, only to realize that he's been missing lots of good stuff, too. With Kate Beckinsale as Newman's neglected wife, impressive older-age make-ups by Rick Baker and a lot of digital wizardry to beef up the humor, Click won't disappoint Sandler's established fan base, and its $40 million opening weekend offered ample proof that Sandler's box-office clout remains remarkably consistent. --Jeff Shannon

5 out of 5 stars Super Funny!!   March 8, 2009
    Rockstar Romeraux (Baker,Louisiana)
I love Adam Sadler, and this is hands down his funniest movie. He plays an arcithect who has a hard time in life with a naggy wife, a carefree boss, and lots of overtime, until one day he is given a remote that can control time. Little does he know, that when you wish for something...you just might get it. You'll laugh cry and laugh again at this hollywood blockbuster! 5/5!!!

4 out of 5 stars Typical Adam Sandler only with a thoughtful ending.   February 16, 2009
    Tina (Tampa, FL)
I really like Adam Sandler's comedic movies. No matter what, you can always count on laughing with his weird, quirky humor. This movie is no exception. However, it also is a bit more thoughtful than other Sandler movies.

So what's the movie about? Michael Newman is sick of having a ton of remote controls in his house for every different electronic item he owns. He ventures out to the store to get a remote control to make his life easier. He meets a man who has a remote control but it does more than turn his TV on and off. It controls his life. It's all fun and games at first until he realizes that he can see into his future and it doesn't look too good.

Let's talk about the positives first. First of all, as always, Adam Sandler is great in this. There are also a couple of other actors who do a good job (including Sean Astin, Christopher Walken, Kate Beckinsale, and David Hasselhoff). As far as the laughs go, I don't think it's laugh out loud funny but it's certainly entertaining. As for the storyline, I think it's rather cute and comedic until the remote takes over his life and then it gets a bit sad.

And now for the negatives. There really isn't anything horrible about Click. I don't think it's anything spectacular however. That is the reason for the 4 stars.

Overall, I really liked this movie. If you're looking for some laughs, I'd check out Click.

5 out of 5 stars Click (Special Edition)   February 16, 2009

5 out of 5 stars An Awesome Film!!!   January 13, 2009
    PUMPKIN MAN
This movie is very funny at first, then gets really emotional toward the end! Everybody did an awesome job! It has a great plot. Sandler plays Michael Newman, a good guy who deserves a break, but doesn't get one. His boss makes him work overtime and hardly has any time for his wife and kids. When he goes to a Bed, Bath, and Beyond, he meets Morty, and receives a universal remote that can control his life. He can stop time, go back in time, fast-forward into time, and much more. He breaks a rule, and the remote keeps taking him into the future where he is divorced, overweight, and sees that he become a corporate monster. Will he ever make things right again? I highly recommend CLICK!!!
