Amazon.com Cunningly fusing father-son sentiment and more blows to the groin per minute than any other movie you'll see this (and possibly any other) year, Little Man aims to win the heart of any man who's ever wished his son was actually a foul-mouthed, jewel-thieving midget. The rubbery face of Marlon Wayans (White Chicks) is digitally transposed onto the body of an actual midget so that Marlon can play Calvin, a bad-tempered thief who's trying to retrieve a humongous diamond from the purse of Vanessa (Kerry Washington, Ray), the buppie wife of Darryl (Shawn Wayans, Scary Movie 2). Darryl doesn't care about his wife's new promotion, he just wants to have a child--and he gets one when Calvin arrives on his doorstep dressed in baby clothes. At which point, the kicks, head-butts, and blunt object trauma to the groin begin. It's beside the point to argue whether or not this is definitively funny; blows to the groin either make you laugh or they don't, and if they do, you know who you are and you should seek this movie out. It will give you all you could possibly ask for, including numerous jokes about bodily functions and breasts. Also featuring John Witherspoon (Friday), Tracy Morgan (Saturday Night Live), Chazz Palminteri (Bullets Over Broadway), and cameos by Molly Shannon (Superstar) and Rob Schneider (Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo). --Bret Fetzer Stills from Little Man (click for larger image)

pretty funny July 3, 2009 Alisha Loosemore (phoenix, az usa) little man is not really a realistic movie but if you like the wayans and you just want a movie to sit back and relax this would be good not to bad for kids some language but not much
PSP Movie January 13, 2009 Stephie (Houston) This gift made my daughter soooooooo happy. She just loves this movie, and the fact that she can watch it on her PSP just tickles her!
Poo-poo April 2, 2008 Bob (Divided States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Do you find that word laugh out loud funny when someone says it? Poo-poo. Doo-doo. I have more respect for pornogrophers and drug dealers than these Wayans Brothers at this point. You can imagine them as part of a top secret organization whose soul purpose and ultimate goal is to make mankind dumber. Everytime you laugh while watching one of their movies, assuming you laugh while watching one of these things, a small part of your mind dies forever. Doo-doo.
To Each His/Her Own February 17, 2008 James P. Nance (Midland, TX USA) Personally, I throughly enjoyed the movie and continue to watch it over and over again. What I don't care for are those "reviews" that make claims that one has to be crazy to like or not like a particular movie based on their own feelings. As the old saying goes, to each his own. As for my feelings, it made me laugh and continues to do so. Laughter is one of the best forms of medicine and, in this day and age, something to be treasured.
Big Baby is Big Fun! February 15, 2008 J. Abercrombi (Honolulu) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
First of all, there's a lot of very funny performances in this film by some enormously talented stars! Why isn't Tracy Morgan ever mentioned when this movie is being reviewed? If I had known he was staring in it I would have watched this 2 years ago when it first came out, instead of waiting for it to be shown on Encore. Tracy Morgan plays Percy, a bumbling, stumbling criminal who can make even the most serious person crack up! Of course I enjoyed the performances by the 2 lead stars, Marlon (as Calvin) and Shawn Wayans (as Darryl.) They work together very well and are excellent at doing slap-stick comedy. In addition, I enjoyed the core cast of Kerry Washington (as Vanessa) and John Witherspoon (as Pops.) I love it when Pops says to the baby, "you smell like PISS." At first I couldn't tell if Vanessa was missing a screw or if she was just very proper. In the end we all know that she was a very sweet lady who was perhaps a touch on the bonkers side (she almost reminded me of the late Michelle Thomas of "Family Matters!") I also loved the performance by Alex Borstein as Janet. Didn't she look so different? I totally didn't recognize her! And wasn't it so funny when she b-r-eastfed baby Calvin? That was just nasty. There's also a slew of cameos by some of my favorite (and probably your favorites, as well!) stars! I loved Molly Shannon as the nutty Soccer Mom!! She was soooooo funny!! David Alan Grier was also in the very beginning and he was very amusing! And Rob Schneider plays a wannabe Barney-the-Dinosaur in a laugh-till-it hurts (yet uncredited) scene! I also thought it was hilarious how Calvin was made out to be a baby/infant in some scenes (when he was in the high chair or inside that baby swing) and in other scenes he was supposed to be a toddler (like when he was in the park or when he played football.) This had to be done on purpose to make everyone look silly and give the movie somewhat of a cartoon feel to it. The movie has some incredible special effects which took nearly 5 months to shoot, not to mention several more months in post-production. "Little Man" did have a positive message. What message did I gain from it? I believe the film was trying to convey that there isn't anything corny in being a good father or a strong black husband who wants to be there for his wife and children. I did like how it ended (courtesy of Marlon and Shawn and a smaller role by Chazz Palminteri as Walken the thug!) It was very funny and fast-paced. Although I didn't understand why Kerry Washington was M.I.A. for the last 3 scenes? Based on what everyone has said about this movie I thought it was going to be really bad. I also thought it was going to be horrible because I could not stand "White Chicks" (also with Marlon & Shawn.) You know, it may sound hackneyed, but I don't care; don't ever judge a book by its cover, because if you do you will be wrong! "Little Man" was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than I thought it would be!
