    Product Description
For customers of Super Club the largest high-volume bulk-discount retailer in the country membership has its privileges. For workers at the cavernous store the most coveted honor is the Employee of the Month award and having one s photo immortalized on the wall of fame in the staff lounge.Enter Zack Bradley (Dane Cook) and Vince Downey (Dax Shepard) two ultra competitive Super Club workers whose ten years of employment have resulted in drastically different career paths. While Vince with the aid of his trusty sidekick Jorge (Efren Ramirez) -- has advanced to become head cashier and winner of 17 consecutive E of M awards Zack is the ultimate slacker whose scruffy appearance and laid back attitude has made him popular with his colleagues but kept him stuck in the lowly ranks of the store s box boys. The duo s longtime rivalry comes to a bitter head when Amy (Jessica Simpson) a beautiful new cashier with a reputation of only dating Employee of the Month winners transfers to the store immediately becoming the object of both Zack and Vince s affection and often comical gamesmanship. While Vince instantly impresses Amy with his crowd pleasing flamboyant style behind his checkstand register Zack s feeble attempts to charm his beautiful new co-worker quickly backfire against him. With the race to win Amy s affections slipping away Zack determines his only chance rests in winning the store s next Employee of the Month award. A battle to the end this film shows that the only failure in life is when one fails to try.Format: BLU-RAY DISC Genre: COMEDY Rating: PG - 13 UPC: 031398207184 Manufacturer No: 20718

2 out of 5 stars Big Box Shopping Club Cuteness   January 7, 2009
    A. Dent (Minas Anor, GD)
Meant to be a feel good, nice, nice, nice comedy, it oozes with cuteness and it should really improve the public image of employers such as B.J.'s, Sam's Club and CostCo. It's THAT cute. It's a heartwarming and, indeed, therapeutic viewing experience, watching these young, super-dedicated employees, competing for the employee of the month designation - and the winner gets the car and he could get the girl too.

There is no violence, there is lots of friendship and team work all-over, because both the good guys and the bad guys are team players. The bosses are a little bit demanding but fair and the few illegalities or immoral activities are so mild, they should make us laugh rather than outrage us. In the end, the good guy wins, of course and the not so good guy is humiliated and properly but not severely punished. We are led to believe that all the personal dramas the good guys were experiencing are solved or on their path toward solving and some of those who did not fall asleep or did not walk away might end the viewing with a little smile on their faces.

This shouldn't be on anyone's must-have movies shopping list but those interested to see what might be going behind the scenes inside those mysterious big-box shopping clubs that charge members annual fees for the privilege of being allowed to buy super-family-sized snack boxes and a discount may find the viewing experience tolerable.

    1 out of 5 stars Huh?   November 17, 2008

Huh? Some people actually thought this was funny? I didn't laugh one time. Next to "Waiting" this is the most God-awful comedy in decades.

4 out of 5 stars Fun and Romantic!   January 14, 2008

I really enjoyed this film. Some un-avoidable corn-dog jokes here and there, but besides that; the movie was fun. The cast is great, the story it self was laid out and paced very well. Jessica Simpsons performance was also on par as the rest of the cast, which is great; since the movie is hung in the balance of her performance (since the two main characters are fighting for her!). Classic and hilarious story about two men fighting for the office (not technically) hottie!

Dane Cook is funny. I liked the movie. I would watch it again and that is a big compliment for me.
    I recommend it.

Seriously...I didn't like Dane Cook to begin with, but now..I'll never get those minutes back. I'm ashamed. But I guess Jessica is pretty hot.
