The concert in NY (actually, as we were constantly reminded was in New Jersey) was in a bad venue. I paid $250 for each of two tickets and we had to leave because of the heat and blasting sunlight. Giant stadium denied us the use of their bathrooms and water in a bottle was $4.00. We didn't have access to fountain water unless we had heat stroke. The seats were too wek for normal peo[le and $250 got us a seat in the back in the sun. Having attended the first Earth day in 1969 and working in the Environmental Field for over 30 years, this show left me wondering who was being served. All be it a massive effort to get a lot of people together, the effort didn't solve much of anything.

Perhaps, a day when no one uses gas or electricity at all would do more. A Power Down day in the Spring. Maybe on April 22 (Earth Day).

4 out of 5 stars Was at the NYC Show   July 19, 2007

I was at the New York City that featured The Police, Roger Waters, Smashing Pumpkins, Bon Jovi, and many more. There were many highlights of the show including seeing Roger Waters again as well as seeing Bon Jovi in New Jersey. The entire stadium (Giants Stadium) was going nuts for the whole Bon Jovi set (started with a new song then did Its My Life, Wanted Dead or Alive, Can't Come Home, and ended with Livin on a Prayer).

Roger Waters was awesome. He faked like he was going to play In the Flesh and then broke into Money followed by Us & Them, Brain Damage, and ended with Another Brick in the Wall in which he sent the famous pig around the stadium.

The Police were cool, I wasn't too fond of them bringing out Kanye West & John Mayer during Message in a Bottle. Smashing Pumpkins were cool. I was fond of Keith Urban starting the set (after being introduced by Al Gore, who was actually introduced by Leonardo DiCaprio) with a cover of The Rolling Stones "Gimme Shelter" with special guest Alicia Keys.

Ludacris and Kanye West had great sets as well. Dave Matthews was fun. Overall the show was a blast, I look forward to seeing these concerts coming out on DVD.
