Gorgeous February 6, 2010 B. Costello (New Haven, CT) I think it is a wonderful product. It came shrink wrapped in plastic (but there was a small scratch on it anyway). Just be careful when you take off the label that's taped to the box, it will lift up the black off the lid and bottom. I got it at a wonderful price (calculated out it came to about $5 per DVD!) which made it all the better. I suggest you print out a movie list though, if you want to watch them in the order they were originally released as they come randomly in 4 boxes in the big display box.
I got this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend and his face lit up when he saw it. We're both big 007 fans and they're kept in a beautiful storage and display box. It now sits out next to his television for all to see. A wonderful purchase.
Full series February 6, 2010 Nathaniel Owens Includes all the bond films completely restored to dvd quality. I wish they would have ordered the movies from first to last or last to first rather than just bunching volumes 1-4 together. movies are scattered through them
Excellent but Whats up with the MORONS rating the companies they bought it from?? February 2, 2010 Brandon H. Madigan Excellent. My gripe is with people that have no idea how to write a review. THIS IS NOT A CUSTOMER SERVICE FORUM! IT IS A REVIEW ABOUT THE CONTENT OF THE PRODUCT, NOT HOW IT ARRIVED AT YOUR DOOR. Honestly is that really so hard a concept to grasp?
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THE COMPANY I PURCHASED THIS SET FROM WOULD HAVE ACTUALLY SENT IT TO ME. February 1, 2010 Phil Radcliffe (LONG BEACH,CA) I BOUGHT THE SET.
I GAVE THEM MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER
I WAITED FOR THE SET TO ARRIVE. JAN 21, 2010 WAS THE ETA.
THE 21ST CAME AND WENT.
I E-MAILED THE VENDOR ON THE 22ND JAN. 2010 AND HAVE NOT YET HAD A RESPONSE.
I'D LIKE THE SET, OR A REFUND.
IS THERE SOMEONE OUT THERE LISTENING?
PHIL RADCLIFFE
007 is better than 070 January 11, 2010 lidkid (Baltimore, MD) When you mix up the numbers 007 to 070, it just doesn't have the same punch as saying "double O seven." That's how it is with the contents of this expensive "ultimate" collector's set which I purchased for my husband.
Like many other reviewers, we love the movies, but not the way in which they are packaged. The excitement of sitting down and having all the movies to watch one after another is lost when you see how they are arranged.
Not only is there no master list of the movies in chronological order, but one Bond film, Never Say Never Again, is not even included in the set. Amazon is such a tremendous marketing machine, but interestingly, it was not shown as a related item. Although it was produced by another movie house, I would have purchased it to complete this so-called ultimate "est" (that's "set", mixed up.)
