Baby boomers June 23, 2009 JAMES R. TAYLOR (Albuquerque, NM USA) This will take you back to better times. Great for those days when you desire GOOD acting and great for young people to watch.
Rawhide the very best. February 20, 2009 Carlos Boone (Florida, USA) Rawhide was a fine piece of tv production. The cast, the storylines, the scenery and the music were the very best. The cast of course included Clint Eastwood as Rowdy, a well known star even today. Eric Fleming as Gil Favor the trail boss, Paul Brinegar as Wishbone the cook, Sheb Wooley as Pete the scout were all fine actors and carried their roles very well.
The stories were for the most part believable and usually very well written. The scenery, while black and white and sometimes redundant, was very good. You usually got the feel of eating a lot of dust kicked up by the herd. Finally the music. What can I say? With an outstanding score by Dimitri Tiomkin, one of the best in my opinion, and the vocal rendition of "Rawhide" by Frankie Lane you just couldn't do any better! I loved Rawhide when it first came out and I still love it today.
Everything as advertised February 18, 2009 Wishbone1953 (michigan) The DVDs were shipped in a very timely fashion. The quality is top-notch, and the bio's are a bonus. A great way to watch the greatest western of all time!!
No More Split Seasons Volumes October 20, 2008 J Harder 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Can you imagine watching a TV series on television, and having to wait about 6 months or more to view the second half of the season, totally absurd. The content of the Rawhide series is super and highly recommended.
What I object strongly too, is the way this media is being marketed,be it Rawhide,Perry Mason, etc. I paid $35 new for season one of Rawhide and $62 for season two. No longer, will I purchase any seasons' volume sets, because of the annoyance of waiting for Volume 2 & the lack of value, while avoiding to feed the Hand of Greed and Stupidity.

The cover shows CC caption, but there are no CC in English. I did not like this and returned the video.
