 Don't waste your money March 18, 2010

Like several others I found that many disks were defective, episodes skip, and in some cases make noise in the DVD player. The disks seem to be thinner than a normal disk. Anyway quality did not seem to be high on NBC's agenda for this product so save your dollars, I wish I did.

I recently purchased Will & Grace: The Complete Series. Unfortunately, I did not take heed to the customer reviews about it being defective. Sure enough, first season, disc 1, episode 3 at approximately 14 min 10 sec the disc froze and I could view the rest of the episode any further. I tried it again several times and the disc froze at the same point. I did not check out any other discs. I returned the product and ordered the individual season discs.
So far, so good. I have watched the entire first season with no problems.
Great Looking Box Set That Doesn't Work February 1, 2010

I received the box set in a very timely manner and was impressed with the packaging. However, that's when things began to go down hill. We had been eager to watch our favorite episode of Will & Grace, so we put in the appropriate disk and tried to watch it. It was the 4th or 5th episode on the disk. It wouldn't play. We tried it in 3 different DVD players with no luck. I called Amazon, after finally tracking down a phone number [not easy to find]. The gladly sent out a replacement, which I received three days later. We got the set put in the disk... No luck. Tried other disks. None of the later episodes work on the disks worked in either set. Christmas was not as fun for my wife...

I ordered this for a Christmas gift for my daughter in spite of the bad reviews because Amazon posted a note that said the defects had been fixed. Wrong!!! The first DVD would not even load and the others she has tried are freezing. I just got off the phone with Amazon..they are sending a replacement. Hopefully the new set will be better otherwise I will be requesting a refund.
