loved the movies, but... January 31, 2010 Caterpillar (Indiana, USA) ...the dvds don't carry all scenes we've seen on tv before (and expected to find them here!). otherwise: great!
Great set January 24, 2010 Alex I got this set just before the 6th movie came out for a great price. May be a good item to check for those who are very price conscious. There are no commentaries and very minimal extras, so it's just the movies.
A fun intro to Harry Potter January 22, 2010 D. J. Nardi (Washington, DC) In some ways, this is the best Harry Potter movie. It's light enough for kids, but the story is engaging enough for adults. The beginning of the film really captures the magical world of wizardry, from the goblins to the first quidditch game. It stands well enough alone as a movie - you don't really need to know much about Harry Potter before watching it.
The kids are excellent actors. Rewatching it again after many, many years, I was impressed with the range of young Ron's emotions (by contrast, I find his later character a bit boring and pouty). They're adorable and frankly well cast.
Some of the later Harry Potter films are better produced and have better special effects, but few are so satisfying.
Great Deal for All Five Year DVDs January 12, 2010 mikey z (USA) This was a great deal for all five year DVDs. I enjoyed watching all five Harry Potter Movies.
Great January 3, 2010 Char (USA) The Harry Potter DVD's was a Christmas gift for my husband and both of us enjoyed them. A story of friendship and family, love one's. Good and evil?
A story to keep in mind, Just a story.
