Amazon.com Ever wonder what the girls of Sex and the City might have been like if they'd been friends since toddlerhood? Probably a lot like the appealing friends in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, the winsome sequel to the winning 2005 film based, as is this film, on the novels of Ann Brashares. Tibby, Carmen, Bridget, and Lena are the Carrie, et al., of this yarn, which picks up in the girls' lives as they're launching into womanhood--figuring out "how to become ourselves without losing each other." The young women fight heartache and family trouble while seeking adventure in their first year of college and the summer after--and trading off a pair of what must surely be the best-traveled garment in the history of Hollywood. All the young actresses have become more famous since the first film--especially Ugly Betty Emmy winner America Ferrera (Carmen), but also Blake Lively (Bridget), Amber Tamblyn (Tibby), and Alexis Bleidel (Lena). But the film is very much an ensemble piece as all four young stars trade off their piece in the spotlight. Adventures take them to far-flung locales like Rhode Island, New York, and an archeological dig in Turkey, and the adventures and friendship continue across the miles. Above all? The Sisterhood, of course. Tibby, over lunch: "I suck at relationships. I should have been a guy." Lena: "Nah, a guy wouldn't worry about sucking at relationships." And suddenly, sisters, everything seems right in the world. --A.T. Hurley

Sisterhood 2, not so (Digital) January 4, 2010 Armando Antonio Garcia (Cypress, TX) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this Blu-Ray (+Digital Copy) for my wife as a gift, excited that she would have something to watch during her travels. Not so fast. When I attempted to download the digital copy, I discovered the expiration date to download the digital copy had already passed by almost 45 days. Perhaps it would have been a good idea for Amazon to disclosed the expiration date of the digital copy if they are going to continue to market and sell the product that contains it.
Downgrade... December 10, 2009 Justine M. Langford (cincinnati, oh United States) The 2nd movie was very shallow. I was very disappointed to have to turn around and sell yet another movie I just bought.
Enjoyable movie October 27, 2009 AwakeNow.co.uk (UK) Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is a movie that i found very enjoyable as the story between the 4 girls flits between them and how the pants 'pair of jeans' brings them back togther as they had been drifting apart.
Some good scenery locations; especially in Greece and the actingw as good, with soem moving stories. Not the usual chick-flick type of film.
My point of view September 12, 2009 Lorraine Viewpoint (San Diego, CA) Great sequal to the first movie. Young women growing up and testing their wings.
Best Sequel Ever! September 8, 2009 D. Miller (Stuart, Florida) This was just as good as the first one! Excellent movie! The girls are great and it moves quickly. Highly recommend! And you don't HAVE to see the first one, but why would you not want to????
