| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com essential video Like a pumpkin that transforms into a carriage, some very shrewd casting (and the charisma of Julia Roberts, in particular) morphed this story of a Hollywood whore into a Disneyfied Cinderella story--and a mainstream megahit. This is the movie that made Roberts a star; the charm of her personality helping tremendously to carry viewers over the rough spots in the script (which was originally a cynical tale about prostitution called 3000--after the amount of money Richard Gere's character pays the prostitute to stay with him for the week). Gere is the silver-haired Wall Street knight who sweeps streetwalker Roberts into a fantasy world of room service at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel and fashion boutique shopping on Rodeo Drive. The supporting cast is also appealing, including Laura San Giacomo as Roberts's hooker pal, Hector Elizondo as the hotel manager, Jason Alexander, Ralph Bellamy, and Hank Azaria. Now, is this something you want your sons and daughters to see? That's entirely up to you. --Jim Emerson

Pretty Woman DVD February 3, 2010 Joetta J. Ediger I was very pleased with this company. They shipped quickly and the product came in very good condition.
Poosie October 4, 2009 B. S. Foster (New Zealand) How this movie bought back memories of when I first viewed it and it is still just as enjoyable.
It also had extra scenes which was a nice bonus.
My favorite memory of it was the script which had a lot of very profound lines that I had remembered.
movie to fall in-love with August 20, 2009 Jessica Rogers (Miami, Florida USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This movie is for any female that lives with a fairy tale tag taped to their heart. I still laugh and I still cry whenever I watch this movie. I grab some icecream, sit back and let my emotions fly.

I did not receive the item purchased. This is the response I received when I inquired about the purchase. To Whom It May Concern:
I refund the cost of the dvd to over a month ago before I was out of stock.

Arthur
I will check my credit card for this refund, however, at this time, to the best of my knowledge I haven't seen the refund.
WHAT'S UP WITH THE COVER ART? I'M OVER IT. May 23, 2009 SunnyATL (Atlanta, GA) I know this sounds trivial, but I've perused through about 10 or 12 pages and can't find anything but people complaining about Julia's character being a hooker and deleted scenes. What about the cover art? Why'd they have to go and change that? I know it's all about marketing, but "Pretty Woman" was originally written in pink, and there were full-body shots of both characters. While this movie will always be one of my all-time favorites, I wish "the powers that be" would leave a good thing alone. Oh well, I'll hold off on buying this until they decide to put the cover back the way it was.
