Amazon.com Predator wreaked havoc in the jungle and struck box-office gold, so Hollywood logic dictated that Predator 2 should raise hell in the big, bad city. Los Angeles, to be specific, and this near-future L.A. (circa 1997) is an ultra-violent playground for the invisibility-cloaked alien that hunted Arnold Schwarzenegger in the previous film. Scant explanation is given for the creature's return, and because Ah-nuld was busy making Total Recall, Danny Glover was awkwardly installed as the maverick cop (is there any other kind?) who defies a government goon (Gary Busey) to curtail the alien's inner-city killing spree. But why bother, when the victims are scummy Colombian drug lords? Don't look for intelligent answers; director Stephen Hopkins favors wall-to-wall action over sensible plotting, allowing Stan Winston's more prominently featured Predator to join the ranks of iconic movie monsters. And anticipating Alien vs. Predator in comic books and in theaters, there's a familiar-looking skull in the Predator's trophy case! --Jeff Shannon

Oh please... February 13, 2010 Willy D. Reviewer (San Francisco,CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Terrible script.
Poor acting.
And Danny Glover whispers his way through this movie.
Two Stars for the Predator scenes.
One of the Good Sequels February 1, 2010 Alan A. Zurawski I thoroughly enjoyed Predator. I like P2 as an extension of the first. We see some different Predator technologies like the electronic frisbee. We track the Predator but still can't trap it. However, I will admit that Danny Glover should be toast at the end when the ship leaves LA...
Predator 2 (Two-Disc Special Edition) January 23, 2010 Arnita D. Brown (USA) While fighting a battle with drug lords, a police chief discovers a being that slowly starts to slaughter the criminals in a sadistic fashion. As the invisible hunter kills off the drug lords and fellow officers, the police chief discovers that the visitor, an extraterrestrial big game hunter, has targeted him as its next victim. Although his superiors prohibit him from taking any action, the police chief sets out to end the ordeal. This is a solid action movie with plenty of good scenes. The special effects are amazing. If you like the 1st Predator you`ll love this one as well.
Simply put... A Classic! January 14, 2010 GameFAN HCGamer (United States) Gary Busey? Bill Paxton?
count me IN!!
P2 is nearly a perfect movie. I couldn't recommend a single movie more than this one.
Now bring on P3!
Not as good as the first one -that's obvious- but it's good enough January 7, 2010 Andrew Mcdonald (Montana, USA) The Predator creature is back and has some cooler gadgetry. Lots of great action. Not always the best dialogue but decent enough.
