Amazon.com Snakes on a Plane knows exactly what kind of movie it is, knows exactly what moviegoers expect from a title like Snakes on a Plane, and delivers the exact pleasures of a movie in which poisonous snakes are unleashed on a plane to kill an eyewitness to murder. Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Long Kiss Goodnight) knows exactly what he's doing in this movie and knows exactly when to pull out the superbad Samuel L. Jackson stare and deliver the infuriated Samuel L. Jackson bellow. The rest of the cast--including Julianna Margulies (ER), Rachel Blanchard (the TV series Clueless), Kenan Thompson (Fat Albert), David Koechner (Anchorman), Bobby Canavale (The Station Agent), and Sunny Mabrey (One Last Thing...)--play their parts with admirably straight faces and deadpan humor. Director David R. Ellis (Final Destination 2, Cellular) gives the movie the much-needed headlong momentum you would expect from a former stunt coordinator. In summation: A perfect piece of self-aware but not self-conscious high camp entertainment, blending comedy and thrills in perfect proportion. --Bret Fetzer

Snakes on a Plane January 3, 2010 Arnita D. Brown (USA) When a young man witnesses a brutal mob murder, it falls to FBI agent Neville Flynn to escort his charge safely from Hawaii to Los Angeles to testify. But in an act of self-preservation, the crime boss facing prison smuggles hundreds of poisonous snakes onto the commercial aircraft in a crate timed to release its deadly cargo halfway over the Pacific. Flynn, along with a frightened flight crew and passengers, must then band together in a desperate attempt to survive. Very impressive movie. I guarantee you that after you see this movie, you are going to be scared of snakes.
Unfair To Snakes! October 16, 2009 A Customer (L.A.) Unfair To Snakes, actors, audience and filmdom. An intentionally bad film that is still bad; but fun. Like a Twinkie. Snakes don't act like this and a scientist tells us. Films aren't made like this; except without viewer support; but you have to look that up. Internet phenomenon film freak! FutureFanFilm is a stand alone. Intentionally bad but satisfying, well done and stupid. Tops in sound and picture is up there, way up there...
What was Samuel L. Jackson thinking??? June 26, 2009 DAZ (Countryside, Illinois USA) This is without a doubt the worst movie I've seen in years. I can't believe SLJ took this part! He must have really needed the money.
